I have 7 wireless computers, 7 wired devices including a network printer and Bluray player, 4 laptops. I have an Actiontec MI424WR Rev1 wireless 4 port router modem combo ( connected by Verizon thru' WAN coax), Linksys BEFW1154 wireless 4 port router, and Linksys 5 port switch. Currently I have the Actiontec (3 devices hooked up) connected to my switch uplink port (3 devices hooked up ... can't use the port next to the uplink). I don't have a port leftover for my 7th device or laptop whenever needed. How do I add in the BEFW1154? It has an uplink port also, so I can only use 3 ports.
On the second router just plug a port cable in from your main routers port into the wan port and then be sure to change the second routers gateway and IP address to a different number. Say that your main router IP is 198.18.1.1 and for your second router IP you could use 10.10.10.1 or what ever combo you want and then you should be able to use both routers together. Is this what you are trying to do?
Linksys routers as well as all routers with DHCP enabled should be able to handle up to 255 separate IP address's for a LAN network. Is the firmware of the Linksys the latest? If not, down load the latest firmware and flash the router to update it. Or, check out third party firmwares like Tomato to flash that tired Linksys and turn it into a real router.
SOURCE: Actiontec GT701-WG doesn't recognize a DVR on the LAN
I think the screen you may be looking at is the Application layer forwarding screen, the drop down box being populated by DHCP clients, that's why it isn't seeing the DVR. The DMZ Hosting screen doesn't have a drop down box, it only requires an IP address to be entered.
Hope this helps!

Select the model and then download the firmware. Instructions are also included but may vary depending on model.
SOURCE: Desktop wont connect to internet but laptop will!
repair the conection and also try a diffrent ethernet wire sometimes it could be bad
SOURCE: USB port on Actiontec for shared printer?
There is supposedly a firmware upgrade available that extends the functions of the usb port so the short answer is "maybe"
My best suggestion is to check out the actiontek web site. Also you should try access the setting page (http://192.168.1.1) and see what options are available within the router itself for USB

Is the user manual
An IP
address conflict occurs
when two computers on a LAN or the Internet have been assigned the same IP. IP
conflicts between two computers normally render either one or both of them
unusable for network operations.
How IP
Address Conflicts Happen
Two
computers can acquire conflicting IP addresses in any of several ways:
· A system administrator assigns two
computers on the LAN the same Static IP Address.
· A system administrator assigns a
computer a static IP address within the local network's DHCP range (dynamic IP
range), and the same address is automatically assigned by the LAN DHCP
server.
· A malfunction in the network's DHCP
server allows the same dynamic address to automatically be assigned to multiple
computers.
· An ISP accidentally assigns two
customers the same IP address (either statically or dynamically).
· A mobile computer is put into standby
/ hibernate mode and then awakened later.
Note that
other forms of IP conflicts can also occur on a network. For example, one computer
may experience an IP address conflict with itself if that computer is
configured with multiple Network Adapters. System administrators may also
create IP conflicts by accidentally connecting two ports of a network switch or
router to each other.
Recognizing
IP Address Conflicts
On most
Microsoft Windows computers, if you attempt to set a fixed (static) IP address
that is already active on the local network, you will receive the following
pop-up error message:
The static IP address that was just configured is already in use on the
network. Please reconfigure a different IP address.
On newer
Microsoft Windows computers having dynamic IP conflicts, you should receive a
balloon error message in the Taskbar as soon as the operating system detects
the issue:
There is an IP address conflict with another system on the network.
Sometimes,
especially on older Windows computers, a message similar to the following may
instead appear in a pop-up window:
The system has detected a conflict for IP address...
On Mac or
Linux computers, a similar message will normally appear on screen.
Resolving IP
Address Conflicts
Try the
following remedies for IP conflicts:
1. For
networks where IP addresses are fixed (statically assigned), ensure each local
host is configured with a
unique IP address.
2. If your
computer has a dynamically assigned address, releasing
and renewing its IP address can
workaround IP address conflicts.
3. If your home router is believed to have a
faulty DHCP server causing IP conflicts on the home network, upgrading the
router firmware may resolve this problem.
