Windows XP Pro Drivers for Proline M760S Laptop

I cannot find Device Drivers for a Proline M760S Laptop that supports Windows XP Professional. I don't even have the technical specs that might enable me to source the drivers from their respective Manufacturers. If I can get any of these It would make life a lot easier. Proline support seems to be non-existent.

Proline lap top it's keeps on shutting down every minute I switch it on

Native , stop hyjacking 8 year old posts.
learn to use your other real post only.
tell what model Proline you have exactly.
is yours running the virus magnet XP.?
and off topic the answer to OP 8 years ago is
get them from Prolines web site of still in business, that is.

shutting down we remove the big battery first.
and run on AC pack, if that fails
we replace the RTC tiny coin cell battery inside next. no good this old for sure. both.
that is what all shops do on all laptops made this old.
    over 5 years for sure.!!!!!!

Just install the software Driver Genius and it will automatically detect and then download your required driver. After completing the download you need to just install it.

Good Luck

Why does everybody always assume that a machine that is not working is online? I can do wonderful things with driver detectives and loaders but first I need to load its chipset drivers to enable it to go online.

I have 3 operating systems installed so i need to lose two of them dont ask cos i dont know how they got there

I recommend you do a clean reinstall XP Pro using the Windows XP Pro installation CD. Delete all the partitions and create a new partition.

This is generally how your format the hard disk and install Windows.
First you need a Windows XP or Windows Vista installation CD and the product installation code, which is printed on the Windows label on the bottom of your laptop.
Boot up with the Windows installation CD start and follow the instructions to install Windows.
Next Delete the existing Windows partition.
Next Create a new partition.
Next format this new partition - Format the partition in NTFS not a quick format. This will prepare the Windows for a clean install.
Next create a User(name) and company name (normally Home is all you need).
Further into the installation, you will be required to put in the Installation code.

During the final stages of installation you need to create an User or Users that will use this computer.

When you finished installing Windows you need to install the laptop's device drivers. You need to use a computer with Internet access to download these drivers from the laptop manufacturer's WEB site and install these drivers on your laptop.
Next connect a LAN cable to the LAN port from your computer to your DSL or cable modem and you need to Activate the Windows installation on the Microsoft WEB site.
Next up need to upgrade Windows from the Microsoft WEB site including Service pack.
Next you need to install your programs

You can download the device drivers from Dell WEB site, the support download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop, better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on the bottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Tag label is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages, the Service Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where the specific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you select the Windows of the drivers for your Windows operating system. Click on this link to download the drivers: -

Hi, I am planning to buy lenovo think pad laptop having core i3 processor, loaded with DOS. I got some market feedback that intel core i3 does not support window xp professional. Why i am so much...

Hi Sanjeev,

Just about a month back I purchased a Lenovo laptop having Intel Core i3 processor loaded with DOS.

I then installed Windows XP SP3 32-bit and there is absolutely no problem whatsoever with the compatibilty. Also, all the device drivers for Windows XP are available on Lenovo support website.

So, there should be no problem to install and run Windows XP on this laptop.

Wish you all the best. Thanks for using FixYa.

My comp crushed the windows xp professional and on reinstalling the recovery version on the toshiba SATELLITE L3000 the sound device was not there.

YOu need to locate your devices TRUE model. Look on your product label on bottom of laptop. There are various models of the L3000 series. Once you have the proper model number (looks like L3000-502I etc) Go to Support.toshiba.com website. Go to DOWNLOADS tab, choose LAPTOP in first box, Choose SATELLITE on next one, and in third box scroll to your actual model number (the real one) and then download the SOUND drivers for your device. This should fix it. Also, you need to be sure and download teh proper version for Windows XP.. dont get the Windows 7 version. I would also make sure that XP is updated to the current SP3 version. To do this go to microsoft.com and run Microsoft Update.
