Try to charge it with another battery,if that does not solve the problem then there is a blown fuse inside the board.its besibe the battery terminal to the right.but first you have to open the unit using a triwing screwdriver and a small precision phillips screwdriver.

My ds lite won't charge.. the orange light appeared blinked

We had this problem with a brand new DS Lite...turns out it was a bad charger. If you have access to another charger, try that first. Good luck!

DS lite green light comes on, top screen flash, then switches off

Check L2 near the power switch on your DS mobo. That part usually get loosen or taken out when you drop your DS. And usually you can recover it when dismantling your DS.

Ds is plugged into charger. But when i try to

What is the orange charging light doing? If it is just flashing on, or only staying on or a minuet, that means you need a new battery. The orange light foes on when the battery has been charged to its maximum capacity. After each charge, the capacity is decreased. So if the orange light is on for only a short time, get a new battery.

Nintendo DS Lite - does not charge

i would suggest trying to find what the issue is, if you know anyone who has a different charger, try it on your daughter's ds. if it still doesn't work, it's a DS problem...if it's under warranty, go to whatever store you bought it at and have them fix or replace it. If you try the different charger and it DOES work, then the only problem is the charger...so then all you have to do is go buy a new charger...hope this helps.

Ds lite doesn't switch on, yellow light flashes once

As far as I know there is no fuse in the DS. Try booting them without any games in them. Also, try checking the batteries for water damage. There should be a small white label about 1/8th inch square on it. If the label has pink dots then there was no water damage however if there arent any dots its very possible that it could be water damage

My DS will only play when plugged in

You have a loose fuse on your circuit board, or your charger port needs to be replaced.
I will fix it for you. $30 for the work and I will pay the return shipping,
Thanks,

Nintendo ds wont charge

cheekiemunke,

First of all, your DS Lite is charging both ways.....with power on and without power on.
You have for almost 99% sure a blown fuse F2 on the systemboard.
If you can solder you can try to replace it with a new one but be adviced, it is tricky if you don't have the skills with soldering SMD components and it can send your DS lite to the trash.
So my advice is find someone that repair DS Lites or order a fuse on eBay and try it yourself.

Regards

John
