You have a bad vertical output IC or a bad capacitor(s) in the vertical driver or output circuits. Not a job for the user to do unless you have the proper tools as well as a service manual. Good Luck

How do I take photos on my Konka FP1 mobile phone

I have never worked with flip phones as they are extremely outdated. Though I do believe with this model you go into menu by pressing the button with a horizontal line in the top left hand corner of the phone. You should then see a camera app which you then use the up/down/left/right buttons to navigate to the icon then select it then you can take a picture from there. Best of luck.

Horizonal line across middle of screen top half of picture perfect bottom half has small lines in picture hitachi hd S 69 plasma

I'm not sure if this model is the one that has resistors that go bad. You can actually purchase a pack of resistors in a kit. It will come with solder, the resistors and instructions. You can lay the tv out and take the circuit board out to find the blown components, and replace the bad ones. Takes about an hour start to finish and will cost around $65.00. It has been a few years since I did this, so I'm not sure on the price.

I have a Konka CTV K2166CZ. It's powering ON but no picture, no OSD only equally spaced retrace lines. 180volts vcc to blue, red & green transistors collector drops to 28volts.

Check the base voltages of the video output transistors. If it is found high [ more than 3V or so]; the main system control chroma jungle IC is faulty. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Lines down screen

We have a Samsung LE32A457, whilst we were watching T.V tonight the top halve of the screen suddenly appeared with green lines halfway down the screen and that half of the picture was unwatchable, T.V is 2 years old. We have removed all scart leads but this did not help and the problem still exists, when shutting down a white horizontal line across the centre of the screen appears from this line upwards the picture is faulty. Any help or advice would be grateful.

Sony TV - Loss of half the picture

sarge, it sounds like the vertical output IC went bad on you. If it was a bad connection or a bad capacitor, your picture would have been a straght line across the screen. They call the output section of the IC a push-pull type of amp, so the top half of the sweep IC went out. If you have had some soldering experience, and or experience with solid state repair, locating the bad IC and replacing it is no big deal. If you havent, stay safe and call in a pro to assist you in this repair, as there is alot of high voltage inside this puppy that is still present even if the set is unplugged. It should not cost an arm or a leg to repair this set. An honest repair on a set like this if you take it in should not exced 125 to 150 bucks. Good Luck PS Please dont forget to rate this thread.
