The exact thing happen to me then after researching it I needed a new lamp. It was replaced and then no power without a red light even on! I continued to research I found that there is a reset button on the right side, inside of the panel u need to press it and hold it for a few minutes and the red light should come back on.... it works now but needs another replacement lamp but it is hard to find.. Olevia syntax company has not the best customer service. Hope to find another lamp soon. Hope this works for you.

Sounds like a power suppply problem. Not something that the novice can repair besides trying the usual unplugging and plugging back in.

I have a Syntax Olevia LT20HVK that the power light flashes.

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

New lamp still blinking red light

I phoned Olevia and the Tech support said that if the Red light Flashes 3 times and the Green light flashes once and then this process is repeated - it means the Lamp is no good.

Tech Guy also said that this TV should never be placed near a Window/door - no sunlight!

My TV is doing the same thing and I need to get a lamp - they want $110 for the lamp.

Where did you buy the lamp from? How much did it cost?

Olevia 747 won't come on

I had the same problem with a 437. It just shut off one day and I could never turn it back on again. I called Syntax Brillian and they told me the mother board was probably shot. They sent me a new TV and took the damaged one back.
