Standby light is on,but my olevia tv will not turn on.

No, someone will need to open set and check voltages etc and also look at power board to see if any puffed up bad caps like these:

I have an Olevia 242tfhd television that just stopped working. The blue light was on and when I pressed it- it wouldn't turn on and the blue light went off. I unplugged it for a day and when I plugged it...

Same happened with my Olevia 540-B11. You can probably find the details of how to disassemble the TV somewhere online. The problem is poor stress-relief on the cables that plug into the secondary (low voltage) side of the power circuit board (PCB). Once the back is removed you'll find the PCB on the left side with three cables connected to the very top of the board. These cables plug into four clips, 3 horizontal clips side-by-side at the top and one vertical clip on the left side. Unplug these cables, remove the PCB and re-solder the sockets (there are approximately 40 solder points on the back of the board). Reassemble your TV and it'll work just fine.

My Olevia 242TFHD will not turn on. The blue light goes off but the tv does not power on. If I unplug it and plug it back in the blue light will come back on but when I try to power it on it never turns on

The tv have a Tuner board problems, this is the board, that take in the broscasting signal cable.Tries unplug, replug about an hour later. The tv should reset it self and work. Not than tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish Tuner board for the replacement.

Works fine but turns off Sporadically

seems like the tv power supply is having some issues.. you might want to try leaving the television unplug over night.. and turn it on the next day .. if the tv still turns off by it self then try plug in the tv straight to the wall or try a power strip if the problem is still there.. then the television's power supply will have to be replace or repair..

There is a 3rd party repair center that is able to service Olevia televisions.. the service center is called Amergence Technology 866-965-3842 they could get you a repair quote..

Syntax Olevia 50in Rear Projection Negative?

Sounds like you have projection bulb problems. Not an easy fix as the are 3 color tubes and a complete alignment when replacing even one of the 3 tubes. Takes a lot of work.

Flashing green and red light

Sounds like a power suppply problem. Not something that the novice can repair besides trying the usual unplugging and plugging back in.
