Question about JVC XV-N322 DVD Player

1 Answer

Player will not stay on or eject holder on it's own.

When I turn the player on it will display the "read" status and then goes off after about a second or if I press eject it will display "open" for a second and then turns off again. I have opened the case to clean all the components within sight, such as motors, links, etc. It would open and close, read, play, etc. a few times but then back to the same shutting off problem. Is there a switch that could be bad that I may be able to replace myself or should I just buy another player? I bought this new and only paid $30 for it about a year ago. Thanks for the guidance! tidube

    Thanks for the quick response!

And I kinda thought that's what I would hear. Time to shop around for another good buy, I guess.

    Thanks,
    Tim

$30 player is good for one year. Trying to fix him will cost you more.

How to fix dodge status 2005 CD player won't eject? CD player reading error any cd

On the front of most cd players there is a small hole. Straighten out a paper clip ,insert into hole and work in and out, this will open the player door.

My Sony dvp sr500h will not let me eject the disc and it displays Locked on the scree. How do I unlock it ?

The Blue Ray is just like a CD or DVD player.
If you have a disk in the unit and it will not eject through your my computer, find a paper clip and streghten it to about one inch.
On the face of the player, you will find a small hole. Insert the paper clip in the hole until you find the step. Bush forward and the door should open.

My dvd player is stuck on one dvd and wont let me eject, change disc, or even stop the current dvd. display reads "locked" whenever i press any buttons. can only turn on and off the device.

Hi, For some reason the disk will not play. You push the eject button over and over again, but the disk slot will not open. Here's one solution...
* 1 Turn off the DVD player. Wait a few minutes, turn the DVD player back on, and
then press the "eject" button. If this does not work, turn it off and unplug
the DVD player...while you keep pushing EJECT button plug the DVD and turn it on (your hand still on the eject..) is should come out..
* 2 ..if it does not eject , unplug the DVD player again, Remove the screws off DVD on the sides and take off the DVD casing.
* 3 Look for the DVD holder inside the DVD player. This device holds the DVD in
place while the DVD player reads the disk.
* 4 Push the stuck DVD disk toward the front of the DVD player until the DVD
ejects. Remember the DVD player is not on and some force ( gentle ! ) must be applied.
* 5 While it is open, plug it on and place a DVD disc just to see if mechanism works properly..
* 6 Replace the casing and the screws. Plug the player in and turn it on. Put
another DVD in to test whether the player is finally working ..
Hope this helps!..
Take care and please

Is it possible to change the region code to region 3 so we can watch movies from Thailand? No need to switch back as I have another DVD on region 1. Charlie ([email protected])

You can make this player REGION FREE so all discs operate on it.

Power up, no disk in. Status says READ then INSERT DISC.
Press MENU (status reads invalid key icon)
Press 1 (status reads invalid key icon)
Press 9 Menu is displayed.
Press ENTER on the region, digit turns to "-"
Press 0
Press ENTER again
Press EJECT to clear the special menu.

If you reset (unplug) the player for any reason - this will need to be re-entered.

Thanks for using FixYa!!

The DVD player is in constant eject mode - discs will not stay in to play. It has worked perfectly for years. Tonight I was watching a disc, finished, ejected it and put in another and the player just...

Two possible scenarios: First the optical pick up assembly that read the disc has malfunctioned or the eject button is faulty. Either way it is just cheaper to replace the DVD player with a standalone dvd player connected to one the tv input(s). Too expensive to repair just the dvd player if it is tv/dvd combo. The cost for labor and parts is more expensive these days to repair tvs or dvd player. For around $30 you can just replace...much more cost effective.
