There is a option on T.V.'s that you need to put it to VGA on the t.v. also you can go into properties on the output of the video to the t.v. and laptop to verify that it is sending a signal.
Also check to make sure all the cords are pressed in properly and that the cord doesn't have any cuts or cracks in it or any pins are bent at one or another end it happens sometimes it get's plugged in the pins aren't hard to bend.

How do I connect my laptop to my led tv?

Is there a HMDI output on your Laptop or a VGA output. Some TV's have a DSUB input source that allows VGA depends on your laptop it could be HDMI if so TV should have an extraz HDMI input on the back and you change the source input on the TV to the HDMI 2 or HDMI 3 source depending on where you plugged in the P.C. . If HDMI you need to buy a HDMI cable.

Connecting amilo 2727 to plasma tv

Well depending on what output your laptop has and what input your TV has you will have to find a cable that accommodates both.
Common laptop outputs: VGA, DVI, HDMI
Common TV inputs: RGB, HDMI, VGA

I tried hooking up my laptop to my 37lh20 tv. I connected the avi to the pc input and an audio cable fro the headset jack on the tv. If I put the tv input on rgb pc I get the picture but no sound and if...

Unless you hook HDMI to HDMI, you won't carry sound across the HDMI cable. If you're using a VGA to HDMI converter, you'll get the picture but no sound.

I have a feeling the headset jack on the TV is an output rather than an input. Most TVs accept HDMI, RCA, or a digital audio input (either coaxial or optical). Unless you have a S/PDIF optical output from your laptop (and you obviously don't have an HDMI output), then your only other choice is likely to get a cable that splits a 1/8" headset type connector into two RCA plugs that you'll plug into an AUDIO IN input on your TV.

Hi, I have bought LG LCD ld310 . Can I connect my computer output to lcd tv through dvi-hdmi cable or vga-hdmi cable Thanks Jatinder Kumar

Hi Jatinder Kumar ,
Yes you can connect your computer output to lcd tv through dvi-hdmi cable or vga-hdmi cable.
1. Connect to HDMI (DVI) : just plug in HDMI (DVI) out of PC or laptop to HDMI or DVI TV. Than select source from HDMI.
2. Connect to PC : Plug D sub to TV, select PC in.

I hope that will help you.
thanks.

What do i need to connect my acer 5732z laptop to my sony bravia flar screen LCD tv so as to use the TV display as a large monitor. The TV has a HDMI output from a PC. There is no HDMI o/p on the PC

If there isn't no HDMI output from the PC, then you cannot use the HDMI option on your TV, however if your TV does have a VGA input option, the input adapter that look like that on your laptop, then all you need to do is buy a VGA cable from wal-mart or bestbuy. Walmart is cheaper though, however there is also option of buying a VGA- to HDMI cable on ebay if you want to go that option and wait couple of days for your item to arrive.

When i hook my L455 to my sony hdtv the screen on the lap top turns black and the tv only says no signal in the pc mode. do i have to change some settings on my laptop

TV:- probably has a PC input - which is a VGA connector looks like this http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/92/SVGA_port.jpg and then you select PC input on the TV to display whats connected to that port Laptop: - Now on the laptop, you will need to select the VGA output to work - thee will be a picture of a screen on one of the F keys at the top of the keyboard, F4, F5 normally on laptops, My Toshiba its F5 ---- (assuming F5) use the FN key and the F5 key together it will then toggle between the following <laptop only><laptop and VGA output><VGA output only>
If you are not using a VGA cable and are connecting by HDMI cable - then there will be a F key to toggle the HDMI output - and you will need to select HDMI on the TV - NOTE: if this has a blue ray player and you are playing a blueray DVD, theres is copyright to protection to only allow one screen to be used, so you will need to toggle the laptop F key to just output from HDMI

I have a Samsung Series 6-650 LCD TV (Model # LN46A650A1F). I am trying to connect my Laptop to use the TV as a monitor and have done everything to make it work, using a VGA/HDMI cable, but the TV refuses...

Why do you use VGA-HDMI cable? This TV works fine with VGA cable - it has VGA plug.
Or if your notebook has DVI output, then you can use DVI/HDMI cable and connect it to the TV to plug named DVI/HDMI (only one HDMI input is marked as DVI on TV).
I suppose that over HDMI the TV supports only some standard resolutions, but over VGA it supports almost every resolution laptops use. You can find supported resolutions for each input in the TV manual. Try setting the same resolution on the laptop.

I am trying to connect my PC to my TV. I have a Sharp HDTV and my PC is a Toshiba with windows XP. I have a componert video cable which is connected to the TV and PC. I have used Fn and F5 didn't work....

what model of TV was it please,
Does your computer have tv out video card installed?
For video to tv you will need a vga to tv converter, this is an external device and will work on the computers vga output straight into a vga input and give you 1 x vga out,1 x rca out, 1 x s/video out, comes supplied all prebuilt with onboard graphics solution. no extra power required runs straight of vga output.
Once the computers video output is established then set the TV up to tune into the converters output signal.
HD TV can be set up to run thru rca and components and if model is late enough shuld come equip with serial vga input for computers.Other than that HDMI seems to be the better quality of picture over rca component.Cost verses dollar really and function.

Cheap fix VGA to TV CONVERTER
Expensive Fix HDMI to HDMI

(it is posible to hdmi over cat5e)
NO COMPARISON FOR QUALITY.
