Press and hold the option and select buttons at the same time and continue to hold both down and for 5 seconds and see if the LOC light goes off.

SOURCE: no manual ...no power- how do I work this machine? I'm able to lock/unlock it

THIS IS THE ONLY THING YOU CAN DO
Check that the unit is plugged into a working outlet and for
blown fuses.

This must be done by a THECHNICIAN SPETIALIST

Unplug washer or disconnect power.
Check continuity of line cord and line fi lter.
Check harness connections to CCU.

Plug in washer or reconnect power.
Check the touch-pad/LED assembly by selecting different
cycles and changing the modifi ers and options available to
confi rm the touch-pad/LED is responding.
Unplug the harness to UI and check with a DVM or VOM on
Connector UIP3 if correct voltage is present.
Pin 1: -5V
Pin 2: 0V (connection to Line or neutral is present in
normal operation).
Pin 3: -12V
If voltage not present and CCU is powered correctly (line
cord and linefi lter has continuity) the CCU is broken.
Disassemble the UI and check harness to UI and
Interconnection on UI between Center and Right Board.

SOURCE: 417.44092500 front load washer I get a LOC err,

The LOC code merely means the control responded and locked the door. You'll find a tech sheet under the top panel of the machine to help guide you thru the diagnostic process, which is fairly involved.

LOC means it thinks the control panel is locked. This gives the ERR indication when you push the buttons. To unlock it you need to hold down the Options and Select buttons together until it reacts.

I know this may seem silly but - On the top right back corner of your washer hit it with medium force with your fist, this helps.

SOURCE: No power to Kenmore HE2 Front Load Washer

It appears your timer/main controller has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Loc coming up on frigidaire washer front load

The controls have been locked unintentionally and this is a safety feature to avoid having someone accidentally stop the washer or modify the cycle. It can be unlocked by pressing and holding the OPTIONS and SELECT buttons for 10 seconds or until the "LOC" is no longer displayed. Lock the controls with the same buttons and in the same way until "LOC" is displayed alternately with the estimated cycle time.

Push any button and 'loc' flashes seems to be locked out

Press Options and Select at the same time and hold for 10 seconds or until "LOC" is no longer displayed to unlock the controls. Press and hold the same buttons for 10 seconds until "LOC" is displayed alternately with the estimated cycle time to lock the controls. Unplug the machine for at least half an hour, if pressing the buttons does unlock the controls, to forcibly reset the machine control and eliminate the possibility of an electronic glitch.

When i turn it on loc comes on and i cant get it to work. i tried yesterday and it said pause then error

The control is locked as what "LOC" indicates. Press the Options and Select buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds or until "LOC" is no longer displayed. Pressing the same buttons for 10 seconds will lock the control. There is actually a padlock sign marking between these buttons to indicate that these buttons are used for locking and unlocking the control.

Frigidaire front load, ERR LOC, washer won't run

Just had same problem. After removing boot/rubber gasket around opening, and replacing door lock assembly it still would not work giving the same ERR LOC message! Another site directed me to press the "Options" and "Select" buttons at the same time. BINGO! My husband was quite proud of me!

The control panel may be in *LOCKED* mode.

Press the *OPTIONS* and *SELECT* buttons at the same time and hold for about three seconds to unlock the control panel.

Make sure the detergent tray is fully closed too.

I hope this helps!
