Question about Kenwood KAC-749S Car Audio Amplifier

1 Answer

Kenwood KAC-749S My amp worked so i decided to take off the top and take out the computer board. In the process I put in 2 small neon lights to light the top of the amp. After assembleing the amp back together the amp will not activate. I get power to the ground, power and battery outputs and the amp will still not run and prouduce sound through my subs. I dont know if somthing got loose or fried during the installation of the lights but I cant get it to power my subs. Thanks, Rick

Try to take out the lights that you put in yourself, but do it carefully, as you might have bridged out the power connectors that go through to your subs.

yes you have a internal fault of the amp. the circuit that puts it into safe mode is bad and that is a very small chip on the board know as a op amp. needs to be repaired.

No Sound - boat stereo

Assuming that the four speakers are connected to the amplifier, then the amp is the most likely problem component. Does the amplifier show a power light when the system is turned on? Note that there is probably another fuse in the amplifier power wire, near the battery.
