Here is a link to the full manual, however it says right in there to not disassemble so you will probably have to find someone's who has done it (maybe on a PDA or Ipaq forum) and ask them for direction. http://user-guides.mobiletopsoft.com/hp/hp-ipaq-h6300-series-user-guide/hp-ipaq-h6300-series-user-guide.php

HP iPAQ 210 calendar and contacts won't open

Somehow, the file that stores all of your contact and calendar data got corrupted, and the Calendar program crashed when opening. To fix the problem, rename the pim.vol file on the system root (it's a hidden file; I use Total Commander for file browsing on my device, which shows hidden files by default) to something like pim.vol.bak. You should now be able to open your Calendar, Contact, and ActiveSync again.

I don't know if you are still around and checking this, but it came up at the top of a google search, so hopefully, anyone else who finds this problem will be able to see the solution without having to hard reset their device.

I hacing a probleem with me align srceen hp ipaq it won!t move after tapping.is there somebody how can help me.thanks

The top digitizer part is defective and needs to be replaced.

Unfortunately, such operation needs to be performed by a experienced technician since requires open the PDA, soldering, and replace the top glass digitize part with the risk of break the LCD screen.

I do recoomend you to get a quoto for such service.

If you want to try it, there are in Ebay some digitizer parts that are cheap, but you will ned to procure yourself other tools that are needed for the job.

Changed screen, now no power

Disassembly and assembly it again, putting close attention to how the mainboard is assembled, and all the wires and connectors are placed.

If the switch that senses when the rear cover lid is not working fine, won't power on.

If during the assembly of the PDA you had by accident something that prevents the swithc to work, you will have the problem.

You have to check also the contacts for the battery on the ain board. Check that are not damaged, bent or desoldered.

Other possible reason is that during the repair of the LCD screen, the mainboard was forced, bent or warped, then you will have a more serious problem, since tiny smt capacitors are cracked very easy, which causes an electrical short, preventing the PDA to power on.

Diagnosctics and repair of it needs a qualified technician for it.

Pda ipaq 1710 not starting up

press the 1st and 4th button on the shortcut menu on the front and press the reset button. This will go through a complete hard reset and deactivate the battery. IT will take your PDA back to factory default mode. It saves you a lot of trouble. GOOD luck. If my explaining it to you didnt help then google "complete reset pda ipaq 1710". :)

ALING DISPLAY CYCLICAL PROBLEM

If I understand correctly your problem, the touch screen of your PDA is not working.

Well, this is a common IPAQ failure. When happens, the only options to repair it are:

1. Soft reset of the PDA. If still does not work, then go to next step.

2. Replace the top digitizer glass.

It requires a very skillful person to do it. If you have not experience with fixing electronic devices, then I do suggest you to send it to repair.

Besides that is necessary to open it, you will require a soldering iron, and desolder the digitizer part and remove it from the LCD screen, which if is not done properly with the right tools, it's easy to damage the LCD screen assembly.

Also, if it's not opened right, is possible to damage permanently the mainboard if is bent or warped.

Also, even though there are a lot of cheap digitizer replacement parts on-line (mainly from China), they have a compatibility issue that prevents to use them in the RX3715 (or RX3115) PDAs.

I have nothing against Chinese manufactured parts, but after buy around 10 digitizers in the last couple of years for different Ipaq PDAs, I found out that only 3 worked fine, so I know what I am talking about.
