I have the Mitsubishi ws-65807. The comcast and the xbox 360 works fine but when I plug any other componets in the screen flickers horizontally on any of the inputs I choose, I have tried plugging differrent DVD players and other game consoles that have worked in past.

I have also tried swapping a ps3 into the input that works for the xbox and the results are the xbox works but the ps3 does the horizontal flicker.

Is there something i need to re-set?

Ahh the old rolling picture problem. If this set has a Picture in picture feature, your problem is on the PIP module itself. There is a kit of surface mounted capacitors that need to be replaced If you have some soldering skills you should be able to do this your self, but if you do not, I advise you to get someomne who does as most of these PIP modules are not available any longer. The kit can be purchased from http://www.mcminone.com/search.asp?keyword=Mitsubishi+PIP+kit&btnSubmit.x=6&btnSubmit.y=7 Good Luck

My Sharp LC-42SB45U takes 15 min to an hour to turn on. Also, sometimes picture blacks out for 10-15 seconds. Any suggestions? Pat Courson

Have same problem. Not the proper fix though I found that taking the back off and heating it up with a heat gun for 30 seconds to 1 minute and tv works fine till you shut it off over night.Maybe someone can offer a solution with that in mind. Pretty strange

Picture won't come in clear until TV "warms up" for 15 minutes or more

Change the capacitors first per the instructions in the link below. Symptoms could be anything from high-pitched hum to no picture at all. On these defective models, I would start at the caps and work back. It won't hurt to replace them anyway.

Picture is Rolling..stops after some warm-up

I have seen this many times. There is a 9 volt regulator on the small signal board that causes this. The regulator goes bad and the 9 volts starts dropping, especially at start-up when the regulator is cold. If the voltage is below 8 volts then the picture gets dark and the vertical becomes unstable, with the picture squeezing down and/or rolling. As the regulator warms up the voltage starts rising back towards 9 volts and the symptoms start clearing up. There are 3 regulators in a row on the board and the regulator in the middle is always the bad one. Replacing that regulator should cure your problems but it should be replaced by someone experienced in servicing Mitsubishi projection TV's because pulling the chassis out is quite tricky.

Toshiba 36zp38b picture problems

With it only being about 3 years old, I would suspect bad solder connections rather than defective components like Capacitors. You may get the symptoms to come and go by slapping the side of the set or jaring it slightly which would prove the bad connection thesis. It is not a permanent cure however and you can make it worse if you keep doing that. A solder repair shouldn't run over $225 in my opinion.
