Question about HHP IT4410HD

1 Answer

Actually HHP IT4410 LR

I have this scanner plugged into my laptop via ps2-usb converter (belkin). The scanner beeps twice when plugged in when the computer is powered on so it is getting power right. I can scan barcodes and the scanner beeps and the green light becomes lit up but nothing is displayed on my computer screen. It is supposed to act as a wedge where the encoded information pops up into a program like word or notepad. I called in and was told to scan a barcode called the "Emulate External Keyboard" which will fix the problem after i rebooted. It still doesn't work and i don't know what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Have you tried reinstalling the drivers? Or downloading the latest driver from the manufacturers website? My father had the same problem with his scanner, and all he did was reinstalling the drivers and it worked fine afterwards.

QuickScan 6000 Plus cant get it to work with windows 7. If i use ps2 port, the red scanninglight dissapears after one scan. If I use an converter ps2 --> usb and plug it in usb port, it seems to work...

try the other usb ports. sometimes that works. also make sure that your other usb devices are off if possible. If you are using a usb keyboard try using a ps/2 keyboard. If you have an open usb port in the front try using that instead. I have seen this many times. Good luck.

Double scans

Its your software, try to reset the PoS software you are using. you could also first test by using note pad or any text editor. with your barcode scanner connected, close all open applications, open a black note pad and scan to the note pad. check if it does double scan still to confirm.

How can I plug my laptop latitude d430 on a seperate samsung monitor using a belkin flip ps2 cable? ... is laptop is compatible with ps2? or should i need drivers for belkin or samsung monitor on the...

You need a standard analog video or DVI cable to attach the monitor.

PS2 is for your keyboard or mouse only. However, Belkin has a PS2 to usb adapter that will let you attach these devices to your laptop via USB if you need to.

My Symbol LS4278 will not transfer data to the computer. I have the PS2 cable and added a PS2 to USB. I get a beep as if the barcode is read, but it's not transferring the data to the program.

Hello,

Be sure to use a full PS2 to USB adapter not just the plug adapter. The one to use has the cable and a small encoder box in the middle, usually for keyboard and mouse together. We have seen some of the cheaper adapters not pass the proper voltages to the scanner for a good read. The ones we suggest to our customers is made by Belkin part # F5U119VE1SN

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

Scanner beeps but doesn't enter data into system

Have you scanned the configuration barcodes on the manual? For example if you are using keyboard wedge cable, you will need to scan the keyboard wedge barcode from the manual. Page 20.
