Question about Champion 3500/4000 Watt Portable Generator
You have a carburetor problem. Stuck float or clogged filter. Gas cannot get into the carb as fast as it is used. Letting it sit for a few minutes will allow the bowl to fill.

SOURCE: i bought a champion generator 2 yrs ago.It ran when I bought it. Have not occasion to use it until now. It will not fire. It had some rust on the flywheel. Removed the rust. I replaced the spark plug.
Probably only one of these issues to cause that. gas not turned on or flooded- ck spark plug to see if it is wet, check to see if the spark plug is getting power by taking it out leaving the wire on it and holding it about a 1/8 of a inch away from some exposed metal part of the frame and have someone try to start it. if you get a spark then ck your gap and put it back. Ck your choke too to see if it is on. also if it was flooded then leave the choke off and keep trying to start it. if it was stored outside, it may have water in the gas.
