Hold Down the 0 Button Until It Appears

  • Anonymous Dec 20, 2008

My advise when you are trying to input a phone number but you want to add the + at the beginning make sure it says "12 Number:" then you should be able to hold down the zero key which is center bottom of the keypad and it should display the + sign after a little while of holding the zero key.

You have to press and hold the "0" key until it changes to a + sign.

There is actually a + sign in the right hand corner of the '0' button. Try turning off the phone then dialing regularly and try to press and hold it again. I have a v3 in front of me and it is producing the + sign. Do all the buttons your keypad work??

  • Anonymous Dec 20, 2008

Who is your cell phone carrier? I have T-Mobile but if you have a v3 the keypad is the same on all the v3's.

  • Anonymous Dec 20, 2008

You may have to change the unit if your device isnt doing that. Take a look at this:

Entering text or inserting pauses and waits on the Motorola RAZR V3 (Cricket/Alltel/T-Mobile/AT&T).

    Goal:

    Motorola RAZR V3 Keypad Layout

    General Text Functions:

Press the number 1 key for different symbols.
To enter a space press the * key.
To toggle between upper and lowercase press the 0 key.
To toggle between text entry modes press the # key.
To enter a number press and hold that key.
To toggle between Tap and iTap modes, press the # key.
To enter a + while dialing, hold down the 0 key.

    Icons/Modes:

        Tap and Tap Extended mode:

indicates next character will be capitalized
indicates all characters will be capitalized
indicates all characters will be in lower case

          iTap (T9) mode:

indicates next character will be capitalized
indicates all characters will be capitalized
indicates all characters will be in lower case

            Numeric mode:

              Symbol mode:

indicated all characters will be symbols

Using Tap or Tap Extended mode: Press a number key (1 - 9) repeatedly until the desired character appears. NOTE: There are more characters available for a number key than are printed on the key.

    Using iTap mode:

Write the desired word by pressing the keys 2 - 9. Press each key only once for one letter. The word changes after every key press.
Do not pay attention to what appears on the display. The word match is evolving. Wait until you have keyed in the whole word before checking the result.
When finished entering the word, check that it is correct. If the word is correct, confirm it by pressing right on the direction pad or by pressing the * key to insert a space. When the highlighting disappears the next word can be entered.

    Inserting pauses and waits:

Pauses: After a number is dialed, any numbers following the pause will be automatically entered after 2 seconds.
Waits: After a number is dialed, any numbers following the wait will be automatically entered once the user presses the send key.
While entering a number, press and hold the star (*) key until a letter "p" or "w" appears.

My maytag gemini oven keypad (numbers only) stopped working.

If the keypad on your Maytag Gemini oven (numbers only) has stopped working, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Power cycle the oven: Turn off the oven by unplugging it from the power source or by switching off the circuit breaker. Leave it powered off for a few minutes, and then plug it back in or switch the circuit breaker back on. This can sometimes reset the keypad and resolve temporary issues.
  2. Check for physical damage: Inspect the keypad for any physical damage, such as cracks or signs of wear. If you notice any damage, it may be causing the keypad malfunction. In such cases, the keypad might need to be replaced.
  3. Clean the keypad: Over time, dirt, grease, or food particles can accumulate on the keypad, which can interfere with its functioning. Use a soft, damp cloth to gently clean the keypad. Avoid using harsh chemicals or excessive moisture that could damage the keypad.
  4. Test the oven's other functions: Check if other functions of the oven are working properly, such as the temperature controls and other buttons. If only the numeric keypad is affected, it could indicate a specific issue with that part of the keypad or the underlying circuitry.
  5. Contact Maytag customer support: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it is advisable to contact Maytag customer support or schedule a service appointment with a qualified technician. They will be able to provide further guidance and assistance in diagnosing and fixing the problem.

Control panel not responding

Only thing you can really do at this juncture is to disassemble unit and meticulously clean any and all keypad contacts and switches. If that does not restore operation then you have to face reality - need new electronics.
The new stuff looks nicer but the old controls were much more reliable!!!!!!!!!

My laptop keypad only inputs numbers consecutively when i type on the keypad. I disengaged num lock and it still does it. What should i do?

There is no seperate numpad in the keyboard. If you wish to use the special functions you should press and hold the Fn key while pressing a key. Special functions include stuff like switching display etc., I am sure you are aware that you have to press and hold shift to type the symbols.

Ican"t type numbers can you please help

From Dell user manual:
The numeric keypad functions like the numeric keypad on an external keyboard. Each key on the keypad has multiple functions. The keypad numbers and symbols are marked in blue on the right of the keypad keys. To type a number or symbol, press <Fn> and the desired key after enabling the keypad.
  • To enable the keypad, press <Num Lk>. The keyboar2.jpg light indicates that the keypad is active.

  • To disable the keypad, press <Num Lk> again.

Iphone Deadspots on touch screen

First, No you cant get it repaired by anyone but apple, sorry

Second, you dont need to sign a contact to use your iPhone. You can use the iPhone as a GoPhone and buy minutes as you go, however this can end up being quite costly if you plan on using the internet or e-mail alot, i would suggest just getting the 2 yr with the 49.99 plan, this includes unlimited data 200 txt messages and 450 minutes (i think)

Hope this helped
