SOURCE: Belkin 54G won't connect to the internet

Are you sure your modem is giving a WAN IP from your ISP? Try power-cycling your modem with your router unplugged then bring up your router next, if you havent tried that already... After that try connecting your modem directly to a PC and set your NIC card to DHCP and see if you get an IP address thats routable to the internet (i.e not a private IP)

SOURCE: Cannot connect Belkin F5D8233-4 Router to Mac Laptop

Hi, I had the same problem with my MBP and the best solution I found was:
Dissable the Wlan security and use Mac Address control only for the wireless. This will keep your network secure anyway and you can connect normally.

The only inconvenience is that when you want to connect other computers to your wireless you have to enter its MAC address on the list.

Remember to set the list as Allow.

Usb ports do not light up

You are not the only person having problems with the Belkin N750 DB Wireless Dual Band Router. Are you using the correct cables? One more thing you can check, does it have a reset button on the bottom or the side? Try those two things.

Cannot get belkin N750 to reset to fix the lost password

Make sure you hold the reset button on the back of the router for 10 seconds. This will do a factory reset for you, simply hitting the button will only restart your router. Once you're done resetting it, connect to your wireless network using information provided on the bottom of your router box and go to either http://192.168.2.1/ or http://router/ to configure it again.

Unable to move files from my mac to a external mac formatted usb storage drive

I believe the Belkin N750 is not compatible with Mac-formatted drives. I run Macs and while my N750 will see the drive, it is treated as read-only. Try reformatting in FAT-16, FAT-32 or NTFS.

Hi..I have Toshiba laptop with Windows Vista on. I am able to connect to internet using Ethernet however on Wireless it gives me error as PPPOE authentication failed. Not sure how I can go over here..

I suggest you to hard reset and configure the router settings manually to fix this issue.

A) Please follow the steps given below to Hard reset the router:

- Connect the computer to the "LAN" port on the router and connect the modem to the Internet/"WAN" port, using Ethernet cables.

- Take a paper clip, insert the paper clip in the reset hole of the router and hold it for 60 seconds.

- Unplug the power cable from the router after 20 seconds while the reset button is pressed.

- Wait for about 20 seconds and then plug-in the power cable back to the router.

- Wait for all the lights on the router to light up solid and then release the reset button.

- The power light will flash and then come back "ON" solid, indicating that the router is being restored to factory defaults.

B) Please follow the steps given below for configuring the router manually:

- Log on to the router web interface by typing in http://192.168.2.1, in the address bar of your browser.

- By default, the password is blank.

- Click on "Connection Type" in the left hand column under "Internet WAN" heading.

If the connection type is PPPOE (DSL):

- Choose "PPPOE" and click on "Next".

- Enter the user name and password given by your Internet Service Provider.

- Save the settings.

- Click on the "Home" link at the top of the screen.

Internet Status should show "Connected" on the top right hand corner of the web page. If not please unplug the power cable from the router and unplug the power from the modem, leave these both units unplugged for 1 minute. Plug the power to the modem first and wait for the modem to get ready, then plug the power to the router.

If the problem persists, please get back to us with the following information:

1. Type of connection provided by your ISP (Is it PPPOE, Dynamic or static).

2. Name of the Internet service provider (ISP).

I bought the belkin play router and it says it cant find a connection to my verizon modem. Help

what type of internet do you have? does your internet require a username and password to connect ? Im not familiar with verizon but I believe you will have to input the information such as username and password for the PPPOE conenction on the router to be able to access the internet from the modem and be able to send the signal as a wireless internet from your router, try getting in your belkins GUI graphical user interface to be able to change the settings for the PPPOE connection from the modem to work and give access to the router on this case ^_^

Belkin N Router does not recognise PPPoA connection type

First reset the router by pressing the reset button for 10 seconds while power is ON and then after that run again the setup , just to give you a clue which one to choose for the internet setup, if you use Cable internet select Dynamic and if you use DSL internet set it to PPPoE and provide your email and password from your DSL company...

I have a belkin router N-150 F6D4230-4 and it has been hooked up for a while. Well, I had to get my internet turned back on today and now my wireless internet does not work. The modem light is flashing on...

It would be best if you setup the router again. Restore the router to factory defaults. Note: This will remove all previously configured settings "some router has reset button on the back of the router cover by a sticker. The reset button is small that you need a pen to reset it."

1.Unplug the power to the cable / DSL modem
2.Connect the power to the router.
3.Connect a computer to one of the LAN ports of the router.
4.Restart your computer.
5.From the computer connected to the router, open your web browser (internet explorer).
6.Enter the router's address, http://192.168.2.1
7.Click Login in the upper right-hand corner of the page. The router does not ship with a password, so just click Submit.
To configure the router to connect to the Internet, you must enter information provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) into the "Connection Type" section in the left-hand column under the "Internet WAN" heading of the router's configuration page. If using DSL Internet, you may need to enter the PPPoE username and password. Likewise, if you have been issued a static IP address by your provider, the static IP fields (including network mask and gateway) must also must be set in the router.
ISP Connection Type
AT&T PPPoE
Charter PPPoE, Dynamic
Comcast Dynamic
Earthlink PPPoE, Dynamic
Qwest PPPoE
Road Runner PPPoE, Dynamic
Verizon PPPoE, Dynamic
8.Plug the power back into your Internet modem.
9.Verify that this computer can connect to the Internet properly. Open a new web browser and visit a few Internet sites such as Google.com or Yahoo.com.
10.Finally, configure additional network security features as desired to guard your systems against Internet attackers

If issue is not resolve you can contact your Internet Service Provider for assiatnce.
