If your model does not have an HDMI out connector (the maual indicates not all models do have this, you can purchase an HDMI card for your PCI express slot and add the functionality to your laptop. There are also plenty of USB to HDMI converters that can turn your USB port into an HDMI port. Hope this helps
Sound? You not going to get but picture you will get.
You need to lower the resolution in your display properties then try again.
if you hooking it up via hdmi make sure the resolution is set for the low first then you can adjust it later.
Sound doesn't travel to you tv via a hdmi lead from your laptop, you would need to use laptops speakers, or a connect the laptop to a suitable audio device.
i had the same problem, you need to right click on the desktop when the hdmi lead is plugged in, go to personalize, tasks, option to connect to a projector or other external display, and connect external display only. the blu ray cant play on 2 screens at the same time. my only other problem is that on some blu ray discs, i get as far as the title screen and then cant press play in any way, can anyone help???
go into control pannel and acer hd set it there and also in sound, a wee bit of trial and error but its there. mine was the same, it cost me ouch on the phone! good luck mine works ok
