My Akura TV has suddenly lost most of its volume power, everything else works fine.

Even with volume at 100 it is very low sound, but there is some sound

  • Anonymous Aug 15, 2012

The volume isn't 'stuck' at any level and I use the remote that came with the set. The problem is that I can vary the volume but it is at a much lower level than previously. Hencen even with it on 100% it's barely audible.

SOURCE: sound suddenly went out on Zenith TV Picture and

All of these Zenith's are modular in design. I'm sure you have a problem with the sound module. A replacement should be relatively easy to find at a local Zenith Dealership at a nominal fee. If you are handy, you can change it yourself or if not, bring it in for repair. The set is definately worth repair.

SOURCE: TV powers on with sound and no picture. =/

Hi,
before you go any further, did you try to press the brightness control up? because sometimes the remote got stock, it might cause to decrease the brightness, use the control button on the front panel of the TV instead of remote to increase the brightness, if no progress try to shake the Tv if you can, if its a loss connection, you can see the screen flickering and if its the case try to unplug and plug in the wiring connections or call the nearest tech in your place. for more info about tv troubleshooting tips visit

Strange problems with Z-2300's

I'm having this same problem and have sort of solved it with a really wierd technique I found at Logitech. Evidently this problem is related to the control pod rather then the RCA jack. Try this:

Unplug the control pod from the subwoofer Turn off the main switch Turn the volume knob one full turn, tap the knob Repeat again (2 times) Replug the control pod Turn on the main switch and the control pod See what happens

I found that this got the speaker working finicky after it was almost totally useless. It seems to be cutting out randomly, but fidgeting with the control pod or it's connector jack fixes it. No clue what the deal is here, but your problem is identical to mine so take some time to screw around with these components with music running so you can hear if it suddenly works.

TV volume suddenly low

I had the same problem and had to fix with a work around. I take the audio directly from my cable box and pipe it in to an external 'theater in a box' system.

Do you have a universal remote code?
