Can not get tahoe out of second gear i was just driving and i stopped at a stop sign and when i pulled off it would not shift from second gear someone please help.
This is known as "limp mode"
there should be a fuse in the dashboard fuse panel, or possibly the one under the hood.. one will be labeled trans or tcm - something of the like...test ALL fuses in the fuse boxes for good measure, and change the fuses if you find any blown.
ALSO....
Did you recently have a remote start system installed? If so, they need to hook up the smaller white wire in the ignition harness to turn on with the ignition power from the remote start unit. If the ignition wire and the white wire (transmission control) are not powered at the same time, the trans will go into limp mode.

ok i'll check the fuses again i visually checked them but they looked good. i'll put an ohm meter to them tomorrow thanks for your quick response i appreciate it.
turned out to be 3rd and 4th gear were shreded and required some major work
