Flash should turn on by pressing the "Set" button and then the down arrow until you get to the flash menu. Choose the setting that looks like a lightning bolt.

If that doesn't work press the "Menu" button and then press the "right arrow" until you are on the far right tab. Press the "up arrow" until you come to "Reset." Press the "Right arrow." The camera will ask you if you want to reset it. Tell it "Yes." This will take it back to factory settings and clear any mode that turns the flash off.

Are the pictures fuzzy because the flash isn't working? Are outdoor pictures in daylight fuzzy or OK? If they are fuzzy all the time you may have a lens problem. If they are only fuzzy when the flash is needed, fixing your flash should cure the problem.

My Casio EXILIM EX-Z70 Digital Camera turns on and take pictures and everything but the pictures come out blurry. Any way I can fix it ?

Make sure the lens is clean. Exhale on it and wipe carefully with a lens tissue. You also may want to set the "image quality" setting to "High."

Sounds like ccd issue. Some people have reported similar problems when cam is exposed to water (moisture) or if it's been dropped. Contact you local Casio service and ask them details. They probably just say that send the cam to repair but that is expensive, at least in here Europe.

Not turning on.

this mostly happens due to the motor failure or loose-connection of the wire of motor of lens. or some thing must be stuck inside the shutter or motor..

Fuzzy view and fuzzy pictures

I posted on Nov. 25th that I was having the same problem and would be contacting Casio to report the issue. Well did and want to update all of you on the results. I have great news on the blur/fuzzy issue for the EX-Z70 Casio. I called the Casio help line 800-706-2534 and explained the problems I was having with the camera - and mentiond that I believed this to be a manufacturer's defect as I found postings on the internet from other owners of the same camera which were bought around the same time I made my purchase. The rep was very helpful. She instructed me to write exactly what I told her in a letter and mail the camera to the address she provided. If I had my receipt I should include a copy of it - which I did. I mailed the camera requesting repair or replacement on Nov. 26, 2007 and received my camera back today Dec 6, 2007. That's only ten days - Repaired!! The repair report indicates the lens assembly and lens ring were replaced - and a new battery was incuded in the box. The packing slip indicates Defect Code #11. So this IS a camera defect and they were absolutely GREAT about repairing it ASAP and supplying me with a new battery too. Call Casio today and you will have your camera back by Christmas. Have a Merry Christmas - and take lots of pics! Debra - OnPeaHill!
