My pioneer deh-p840mp powers on and flips open, and seems to function fine with the exception of no sound going to all my door speakers and the bass to my subwoofers is a far sounding muffle even as I turn...

Un hook all your speakers that the deck is powering and hook them up one by one sounds like u have a shorted speaker or wire and the unit is going into protection. The best way to chk the speakers and wires is with an ohm meter . Check each speaker wire to ground and across the speaker and see iof you have any shorts. The next step woulk be to remove the unit and have it bench tested.

How do i hook up two speakers to a deh-21001b pioneer radio. I dont want the four speakers

Hook 1 speaker to the white (+) and white/black (-) wires and the 2nd speaker to the gray (+) and gray/black(-) wires.

The green and the purple wires are the other speaker wires dont use them cut them so they are connected to anything and tape them with black electric tape so they wont short out and touch the chassis of the car by accident. Also dont let them touch each other too thats why you have to tape the exposed wires and insulate them. Many people forget to do that.

How can i use an ipod with my DEH-P4300 pioneer radio

If you have the audio jacks on the radio, you can buy an ipod/audio adapter. If you have cassette player, you can get that adapter also.

I need a wiring diagram for deh-p400, the old one...

No diagram available for 10yr old head...sorry:o(
Other than that, it should be easy to hook it up, I'm sure there's no sub-outs etc. Should have 4 sets of speaker wires bundled together coming out of the back of the radio chassis. Yellow, is switched power...all the speaker wires have a stripe on one of each of the two wires, thats the "common" wire. White is ground for the chassis.
Good Luck

Stereo display works fine, but no sound to speakers.

The wires may have gotten wet and fried something in the sound output in the stereo.
