Question about Aiwa NSX-A115 Shelf System
I am trying to ressurect an old friend of mine.I purchased an aiwa nsx-520 nearly ten years ago.Five years ago i was replacing the speaker wires, when the power switched off?Now every time i turn the system on,it immedeitly switches off?In this time the front display lights up,then goes off? Can anyone advise me with this.
Yeppers, when you where changing out those speakers, you shorted them and that in turn blew out the audio output IC inside this unit. This will require you to disassemble the unit, locate the blow output IC abd unsolder it, get a new audio output IC, put some heatsink compound on the back of the new IC, resolder the chip and reasassemble the unit. But before you turn on the unit, double check those speaker wires again to make sure they are not shorted as if they are, even one tiny strand, this unit will blow the IC again. Never work the speaker on any solid state electronic amp when they are plugged in and on. Good Luck

1 Connect the front speakers.
Connect the right front speaker to the SPEAKERS R terminals and place it on the right side of the unit. Connect the left to the SPEAKERS L terminals and place it on the left side. The speaker cords with the white stripes go to the + terminals.
