HI, I HAVE A AIWA CX-NA71 3 CD STEREO. IT WENT OUT WHEN I PLUGGED IT IN. WITHOUT SPEAKERS ATTATHED ON POWER UP, ALL THE LIGHTS FLASH WITH A CLICKING SOUND LIKE A RELAY ABOUT 10 TIMES THEN POWERS DOWN. WHENSPEAKERS WERE ATTACHED SOUNDED LIKE FULL SOUND OUTPUT WAS FLASHING THROUGH THEM LOUD THEN POWER OF. HELP.

Hi, I have the same problem. I have checked the output transistors and they seem fine. I have also operated the unit without the output transistors and still it does it. I have noticed that if I let it without power for a few days, when I power it the first time it takes about 20 seconds on. After that, it goes to standby again after a second or two. Any help please. Thanks

Yeppers, when you where changing out those speakers, you shorted them and that in turn blew out the audio output IC inside this unit. This will require you to disassemble the unit, locate the blow output IC abd unsolder it, get a new audio output IC, put some heatsink compound on the back of the new IC, resolder the chip and reasassemble the unit. But before you turn on the unit, double check those speaker wires again to make sure they are not shorted as if they are, even one tiny strand, this unit will blow the IC again. Never work the speaker on any solid state electronic amp when they are plugged in and on. Good Luck

My Aiwa NSX 990 wont come on. Only timer icon come in display and volumew LED keeps coming on and going off at regular intervals

Unplug the power cable completely to turn off and then turn back on again. Check whether there are no lose parts with missing contact.
Most probably it looks like a deeply digital problem with no do it yourself solutions - bring it to the repairman, but I even doubt he would fix it.
You can also download the Aiwa NSX-990 service manual and analyze more specifically your case. Download it from here: http://www.mediafire.com/?jc0ynzoiama or from here: http://www.4shared.com/document/rQ67hcpG/Aiwa_XG-990-NSX-990-NSX-992.html (click "Download Now", not any other button).

NSX-AJ310 power problems

That's nothing strange!! Mine does the very same thing. It's normal, the system's way of powering up, unless when you turn on the power, clicking noise intensifies....., if that's the case, give me a reply.

Power cuts out

This problem happend to my sony system about a year ago. It was the amp that blew in mine because of the fan inside the system was not coming on when it should of. I found that when i had put my PC in the AUX jacks it blew the fan on me, so every time the volume got to 15 the system would just shut down and not come back on at all, or it would need time to cool down before it would start up again. Take it to a shop and get it looked at by someone that knows what there doing. Please dont try and do this yourself.
