Plug it to usb device of your computer that will charge the battery Keep it pluged in and goto the RCA website and download the firmware. After you download the firmware. Go to the spot that it downloaded to and click the updated firmware. (do not remove the mp3 player from the usb device of your computer) After the new firmware is installed it will work like new.

The video needs to be in smv file. I dont like using the easy rip software so I plug my mp3 player into the usb device and change the file with this http://www.soft29.com/freeware/smv_converter.htm Works good you can also get another free program called any video convertor. However I found mpeg transcode the best.
well when you washed it it probably got water in the system try and take both sides off and take a dry towel and next time don't put water or soap near the creases
