First thing to do is look at the boards at the bottom of this TV set. If you see a puddle of liquid, or see any eveidence of liquid on the printed circuit boards, you will need to install new "O" rings in the picture tubes as well as new collent, as the collent is leaking onto the boards and the boards will need to be cleaned or replaced. another possiblity is that you have a bad DM module. The DM module has three capacitors that will be all around each other and will be 1000MFD @ 16VDC. You will see if they are bad as the tops of them will look swollen. Good Luck

red, green, and blue lines curve across the top of tv is cause by defective convergence STK IC or you have open resistor at convergence section. if you have defective RGB Color vertical ramp probably you have defective STK IC..
The green picture tube has an internal short. Happened a lot with that model. The tubes are no longer availible. But a reputable company called Video Display will rebuild the tube completely. But the tube must be pulled and shipped to them. Most repair shops would charge around $400 to $500 for the complete job.
bias on green is too high or current is too high^^^turn bias down on focus block^^^--curved lines(not retrace lines) convergance IC`s going or resistor(s) out of range^^^replace them^^^
Minium is the green picture tube need to be replaced, if you can take the front cover and access panel off there is a control with 3 focus and screen controls.
you can adjust the 3 screen controls to possibly get a little more time out of it before the crt's need to be replaced. careful if you turn them down too much there will be no picture, and if you turn them too high the tv will go bright and shut off
If the screen control for the green picture tube is set too high, then the colors will be greenish, there will be green where there should be black and there will be fine curved lines (retrace lines) in the picture. If you feel confident then you can open the set and look for the focus block which has the 3 focus and 3 screen controls. One row is labeled Screen and the green control will be the center one. Try turning that control down a little and see is the green background and curved lines go away. If they do not go away then there is something more serious wrong. If you do not have experience working on projection sets then allow a qualified tech to handle it for you.
