My 1yr old son touched it today, my wife has no idea what he did... I have my Dish Network PVR running optical into the stereo, my dvd runs analog into the stereo, the stereo acts as a switch for all components and uses S-Video. My stereo has a switch (Analog/Digital/Auto). It has always been on auto. When tuned to TV/SAT, I used to use the Digital signal from the dish PVR. When I switched to DVD, I was using Analog. Now, if I watch TV/SAT I get no audio and I cannot change it from Analog (there is a button on the front). If I watch a DVD and it is set to Auto, I get the dish Digital signal. On the back it clearly says TV/SAT Optical input, and has a DVD Coax input for digital. If I change to Analog, I get the DVD audio. Somehow the TV/SAT audio moved over to DVD/LD. I have no idea what he could have done. Please help.
SOURCE: Digital Audio moved from TV/SAT to DVD/LD
Using the remote control, push the left arrow until display shows Coax1 (or 2, depending on your setup), then push the up arrow to set it to TV/SAT.
Conversely, depending on your setup, you can push the left arrow to display Comp1 (or2) then push the up arrow to set the correct video setting-- DVD/LD I assume.
Try to check the audio setting of the player. If you user using optical or coaxial then the audio out put format setting should be Raw other wise it should be PCM. You will see the setting if you go through the menu of the player
