Question about RCA T13208 13 in. TV/VCR Combo

1 Answer

TV On/Off button blinks but never turns on.

Remote was bad so I purchased a new remote and in programming the new one I managed to somehow program the TV so it now won't turn on. The problem is, to program the remote you need to have the TV on but thats not happening. The on/off light flashes but the TV never turns on. What next? I've unplugged from the wall thinking that would reset but that didn't work. Thanks for any help. Lee T.

Ok you did not cause the problem as you could always turn on the TV set from the front panel button,, If the TV set will not turn on even with the front panel button, there is a major fault with the TV set. This is not a reset that can be done by the user as there is a circuit fault and will require you to take the TV set into a shop to be diagnoised or replaced. Good Luck

I need the steps to program the urc4021 remote, as well as the code for the sanyo tv

To program the One-For-All URC4021, first turn on the TV manually (or with the original remote). Press the TV button on the URC4021 once. Then press and hold the Set button until the LED blinks twice. Now you can enter a code directly and test it. For Sanyo TVs, the only programmed code is 0154 . If the LED blinks twice, press Power to attempt to turn off the TV. If that works, you can turn the TV on again and test if the other buttons on the remote work with your TV. If the LED doesn't blink twice, repeat the steps from pressing and holding Set. (If you wait too long before entering the code, the remote will leave the programming mode.)

The URC4021 has a code search mode. Press and hold Set until the LED blinks twice, then press 9 9 1 . If the LED blinks twice again, alternate between pressing the Power and TV buttons until the TV turns off. Then press Set to lock in that code and test the remote again.

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(Note: if your TV is newer than the remote or released within 6 months of the remote being programmed, this code may not work. The URC4021 documentation gives March, 2004 as the copyright date. That suggests that the codes may not work with devices built in 2004 or later.)

How do i program a jumbo universal remote to my seiki tv

you cant,
Follow these steps to program a device into your remote control. There are two ways to program your remote. If you already know the code for your device, you can program it into your remote manually. If you do not know the code, you can use the code search function to program the remote control.

Using Code Search:

1. Turn on the device you want to program into the remote.

2. Point your remote control at the device

3. Press and hold the "Code Search" button for about 3 seconds until the light on the remote stays on.

4. Press the button on the remote for the device you want to program. Push the "TV" button to program the TV, press the "DVD" button to program the DVD player, etc. The light on the remote control will blink and stay on.

5. Slowly press and release the power button repeatedly until the device turns off. Each time you push the power button the light should blink once.

6. Press "Enter" to save the code into the remote and the light will turn off.

Program a Manual Code:

4. Press the "Code Search" button for about 3 seconds until the light stays on.

5. Enter the code for your device using the number pad. The light will blink each time you push a button. If the code works, the light will turn off. If the light flashes, that means the code did not work. There may be multiple codes for a device. If a code does not work, start from the beginning by holding down code search until the light stays on and use a new code.

6. Press the power button to test if your device turns off. It it does not turn off, repeat the process with a new code.

Retrieving the Code for your Device:

If you used the code search function to program your device and want to know the code for future reference, you can retrieve the code from the remote. To do this:

1. Press and hold the Code Search for 3 seconds until the light stays on.

2. Press the device button for the code you want to retrieve. Press TV to get the TV code, etc. The light will blink once and stay on.

4. Repeat for the 2nd and 3rd digits of the code. The light will turn off after you retrieve the 3rd digit.

Programming the Sleep Setting:

1. Press and hold the "SLEEP" button until the light stays on.

What is the code for a sanyo tv and how do I program it

If your TV is older than the URC-4220, the code should be 0154. (The universal remote generally can only control devices that were released about 6 months or more before the remote was programmed.)

To program the remote, turn on the TV manually. Then press the TV button on the remote once. Press and hold Set until the LED blinks twice. Release the Set button at that point. Enter 0154, check if the LED blinks twice again. If the LED blinked properly, point the remote at the TV and press Power. If the TV turns off, this is the correct code. If you take too long between steps, the remote may leave the setting mode. If the LED didn't blink, start over from pressing the TV button on the remote.

The manual for the One-for-All URC-4220 remote is available here: http://voxrightnow.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/11828/~/programming-and-operating-the-oneforall-urc4220-universal-remote-control . Scroll past the directions for using and programming the remote to the link to the Owner's Manual. The list of codes starts at page 36.

I hope this helps.

Need Time Warner remote codes for a TLC TV

There are no Time warner codes for TCL tv's. You will have to perform a "code search"

1 Turn on the device that you wish to program. If you are programming a DVD or VCR player, then insert a media disc such as a DVD or VHS tape.

2 Press the device key on the remote once. This remote is capable of programming five devices, and each has its own respective button at the top of the remote. For example, if you wish to program a TV, press the "TV" device key at the top of the remote. The device key will blink once.

3 Press and hold the "Setup" button on the remote. The selected device key will blink twice, indicating it is ready to be programmed.

4 Enter "991" on the remote. The device key will blink twice again.

5 Aim the remote at the device you wish to program and press the "Power" button.

6 Press the "Channel +" button on the remote. Continue to press that button until the device turns off. Once that happens, press the "Setup" button to lock in the code.

7 Press the "Power" to turn the device back on and it will be ready to use

Need IR code for Hisense 32" LCD tv to program

Are you referring to the iPhone/iPad app? if yes then this is not a remote app, it's a management app made for Comcast boxes and nothing else it doesn't controls tv's.
If you are referring to the actual remote for one of the Comcast boxes then it all depends on what model of remote you have and the exact model of your tv - some will support it thru the use of a Daewoo or Samsung code, others don't.
So you have 2 options:
1 - you try every Daewoo and Samsung code you have in the manual and if that fails you do a code scan on the remote as explained in the manual:
Turn on your TV
Press the TV button on the top of the remote, then press and hold Setup until the TV light blinks twice
Enter 9-9-1 and the TV button will blink twice
Press and release 1 and the TV button will blink twice
Point the remote at the TV, press and release the Power button, then press the CH+ button multiple times until the TV turns off
Press Setup once to lock in the code and the TV button will blink twice
If even that fails - the tv doesn't shuts down - then the remote is incompatible to the tv so
2 - you get a remote that is compatible with both. The only one i could find is

6) When the device powers off then you've found the correct code for that device. Press OK to assign the code in your remote control.

Note:
There are over 200 possible combinations for TV and DVD codes. The most common codes are tried first but you may still need to press the Fast Forward or Rewind buttons over 200 times to find the correct code for your device.

If you reach the end of the list of codes, the entire remote flashes twice and returns to normal operation. You can exit programming at any time by pressing the Exit button.
