I suggest buying, and installing one of the newer economical graphics (Video) cards, and do away with this problem.

Uses AGP graphics cards that are AGP 4X, or AGP 8X, and use 1.5 Volts. (DC)

Examples,

1) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814139053

(DirectX 10.1)

2) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161318

(DirectX 10.1)

3) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161337

(DirectX 10.1)

How can I download video shot on the cassette of a Canon MV530i to either the SD card in the camera or directly on to my windows 8 laptop

Tape video recorders are unfortunately old technology. The SD card is probably only for still pictures. I doubt if a Windows 8 laptop is designed to accommodate it either in hardware or software. If you bought the camera new, you were probably supplied with a disk containing download/capture software. Video sent to a tape is not a fully digital file in the sense that it is not read by computers and has to be captured when you play it back into the computer and turned into a video file. See if you can get a Firewire attachment or adapter -possibly into the laptops HDMI socket. The usb on the camcorder is probably just a charging point. If not, ask a friend with a desktop computer if he would be prepared to fit a firewire card -about 12UKP in UK, and capture it for you on their machine. Via Firewire, even the most basic editing suites have a capture function, and you can save the video as MP4 or AVI etc. The alternative is to take the tapes to a commercial transfer outlet -in the UK Timpsons the shoe repair people advertise this service, and they will put everything on a dvd for you.

How to remove the chuck?

open the chuck fully and it shoudl have a screw inside. Unscrew it, but be carefull, these screws are usually reversed - to uncsrew, rotate it clockwise. Once done, put allen key into chuck (short side in), fasten the chuck to hold allen key well and hit the key with hammer - counterclockwise direction. You might want to verify this procedure with someone else as I have no experience with Dewalt, but this way it works for Makita, Metabo, Narex, ... then why not for Dewalt? Juraj

Need to replace worn chuck on my makita 6480 drill, thanks

If you back off the jaws(fully open) you should see a bolthead. Loosen this and the chuck should pop off with a few easy taps from a small hammer. If you dont see the bolthead, then all you have to do is turn the chuck to a fully open position and keep turning with force in the same direction and the chuck should unscrew. This type can be very difficult to remove. Exercise patience and it will come off. Thanks, Dana

Hi, i have a program that requires driver support for direct x 9

The problem is your on board video on your laptop only supports directX 8 then DirectX 9 will not install or run on yor laptop. The directX software from microsoft will detect if you computer can run it or not. And being it is a laptop you cannot update the onboard video to support directX 9 or higher.

Nero burn error

This is a corrupt install, Please follow the directions below, also, before you install nero 8 again, Please Turn Off any Antivirus Software, it may stop certian Drivers from Fullly installing.

Please use the Nero Clean Tools, Remove all of Nero 8, and also nero 7, if installed and any Roxio burning applications.

Install the Newest Nero 8 Update, and Put in your serial Number in the DEMO box, it will convert it to the full version.

You have a conflict, also ,
Update your Video Drivers and Direct X Drivers, They are needed to use Nero 8, You will get errors if the are not the current version's, and Nero will Run much smoother.

Let me know if you need any further help

Flickering games red jumpy video

Do you have the latest version of direct x installed? Direct x sometimes can cause problems with games using 3d acceleration, as some versions of direct x are not fully compatible with the video card and/or the video card drivers.
