Is the H. Position not showing up in the menu? Or is it that you can't seem to get to the Horizontal positioning that is the problem? Usually there are 4 keys: Auto, <, >, and Menu (I'm NOT counting the power button of course) Menu starts off the process while the < and > get your through the menu. When you see the V. Position, hit the "menu" key and the H. Position should pop up.

On the Onscreen Menu I accidentily set the horizontal position of my monitor too far to the right- how can I decrease it so I don't have it offset???

If you have a 3D monitor, good luck, otherwise, tap the buttons on your monitor that say menu, etc... there's horizontal and vertical adjustments in your monitor. If it's software, then go to your display settings and re-adjust.

How do you adjust the vertical and horizontal of the image on your screen?

Press the OSD (On Screen Display) button on the face of the monitor. You'll find controls to control the size & position both horizontally & vertically.

Vertical and horizontal not displaying property and shadows in picture.and do not know how to work the adjustment

I fixed the adjustmen.ts by trial and error of monkeying around on monitor adjustments(no manual to work with).In the morning the shadowing was gone..think it is from over heated graphics cards.

Monitor problem

Hi,

Appreciate the "Ask Me".

I am assuming that you have more than just familiarity with electronic components and circuitry, the use of a DVM and a soldering iron. Further, that you have access to a service manual.

Width problem is basically insufficient horizontal deflection, then analysis would have to be in the horizontal section. Areas to initially focus on:
  1. 12V line and pin 29 of IC401;
  2. 110 V peak to peak at collector of Q403, if yes check Q 402 & 404 as well as T401;
  3. other components that affect the horizontal size are:
  • IC201
  • Q 405, 406, 407 & 408;
  • D409
  • L401
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
