Electric dryer the dryer was working fine then in the middle of a load it stopped working. Now when you push the start button there is nothing. This also happened a couple of month's ago just before the warranty ended it is getting power and the repair man said he found a loose wire.

Hi there....this sounds to be like you blew the breaker. Go to your breaker panel in your house and search out the fuse for the dryer. This will be a double 110 volt breaker. You need to reset both sides to be sure. It is easily locatable as they almost always have the items listed on the inside of the door of the panel. If this works for you great. Please try to remember to click on the yes box on your way out ...thank you and good luck.
hate to be the bearer of bad news but it sounds like ur motor is going out. Had this happen to my last dryer. If this is the case it will eventually just stop. Try running it without any laundry in it. if this works, then load it and see if it still works. (poor little motor has to work a bit harder with a full load) good luck.
This is a A.C. hum that you are hearing. this is a warning sign. You are experiencing motor failure. the actual windings inside of the motor are losing their potential to hold an even current due to breakage. the shutdown is a safety feature built in the control panel to prevent electrical spark/fire.
HI thanks for the question Thts a sure sign of a bad motor, stopping In the middle of a cycle. and then starting again, and now no start replace the motor
hi thanks for the question i would check the thermal fuse at the back remove back panel . by the air duct theres a small thermal fuse with 2 smaller blue wires to it check that it does cause this thanks appliance doc
First check voltage and breaker,(this is a big one)
next, if you have power to the appliance (120 gas dryer or 240 electric) then the door switch is probaly broken.
lastly, perhaps a thermal fuse located on blower vent. goodluck
