Question about Acer ScanPrisa 640U Flatbed Scanner
Driver is installed correctly for WinXP (although native drivers would also work), but when I try to use the Mirascan software or the native Windows scan program, the light would blink 8 times in succession instead of going on a steady green light (i.e. that its on standby waiting to scan something).
Mi scanner no se puede instalar porque me sale un aviso de que debo tener firmado el software .
como obtengo el controlador para la instalacion en windows vista home basic

SlimDrivers automatically updates PC drivers with real-time scanning and cloud technology. The first cloud-based utility for updating and maintaining drivers, SlimDrivers provides instant optimization of the interaction between a computer and its system components and periperhals, such as printers, graphic and sound cards, motherboards, USB ports, game controllers and other devices and hardware. SlimDrivers scans a PC, identifies the correct drivers needed, and retrieves them from the cloud, automatically installing the most current, precise drivers for each individual PC. SlimDrivers features a one-click, start scan button on its product homepage, which begins the process automatically to scan a PC and identify out-of-date or broken drivers. Then, seamlessly, SlimDrivers creates a personalized driver profile of that PC, and accesses the online cloud database for the most up-to-date, customized driver software.
hope this helps you

Yep, I'm having the same problem. I've uninstalled & reinstalled with & without the software it came with. I do have Windows XP but when we got another computer we moved the one with the scanner on it to another room. We moved the scanner with it but will not work anymore - same computer just relocated it. I'm getting an error of -
Read image data failure
Please restart scanner
Code [ffff:24]
It does not have a printer hooked up to it. Does that make a difference? Do the cables/wires have to be plugged in in any certain order?
My Acer 640U scanner was connected to a computer with Windows XP & was working. We relocated the computer & scanner & now it will not work. I've tried installing & uninstalling with & without the software it came with.
I get an error that says:
Read image data failure
Please restart scanner
Code [ffff:024]
Does it make a difference how the cables/wires were connected - the order of.? It does not have a printer hooked up with it. Does that make any difference?
Thank you.
