I purchased a Samsung d600 about a year ago and now my phone is acting mighty wierd. My phone is constantly showing no service avaliable and dropped calls. Please help me I dont know what to do anymore.
The problem could be with the bus that connects the key pad with the screen area. The way you open and use and the frequency of open-and-shut ruins the main contact data bus cable and evena single break can cause such phones to act the way you are describing. Take it to the Local Samsung Service Centre and get the Data Bus checked for damages and or else get the base s/w reloaded (Virus). Keep your phones BlueTooth OFF while you are moving in public, as viruses can be uploaded without YOU even noticing! Back up data and get the phone formatted.

Copy or write down the IMEI that is printed on a sticker under the battery
Put the battery back and power on your phone
On the main screen, type *#06#
compare the number that you got from the sticker, they should be the same
If the two numbers are not the same, then your phone is blocked. I suggest you bring the phone to your retailer or contact your phone provider because changing the IMEI is illegal anywhere. Hope this helps.
unlock the phone for other operators you need unlocking your phone this wil be also given by your old operator
they need then your imei number (pressing *#06# wil display)and this
unlock codes wil be giving after one year of discription with the
