Winfax uninstall with Vista

If you don't see "WinFax PRO" or "Symantec WinFax PRO" in your Add/Remove programs listing, this indicates a. You don't have it installed (or you uninstalled it) or removed the program entry from the Add/Remove Programs List or b. You have a partial, or corrupt installation. Visit http://www.getfaxing.com/forums if you have specific questions on WinFax PRO.

I would suggest you use the normal method to uninstall your Norton Anti-Virus instead of using the Norton Removal Tool. If you still have problems, then just reinstall Norton Anti-Virus and then uninstall using the Add/Remove Programs from the Control Panel. Once you do that, then you can install your CA software. WinFax has notthng to do with your Anti-Virus not working, or your CA. The WinFax problem only is a problem because of Norton's Removal Tool is flawed. Don't use it. http:/www.getfaxing.com/winfax

Please delete the files of Symantec from hkey users, hkey local machines, hkey current user and remove Symantec, Norton files frm common files in program files application data, local settings... and next steps is .... to be continued..next week

try using ccleaner, which can be downloaded for free from ccleaner.com. it has a tools section where you can remove programs. it can also fix registry issues, which i think you may have with this Norton.

For the next 12 hours you can download for free cleanse UnInstaller Pro At Giveaway of the Day. Install it and then keep attacking every bit of Symantec you find on your computer. You may have to go back several times and keep on deleting more pieces of the programs that were there but this truly works. It's the only program I found so far that could get rid of WinFax Pro including the stuff provided by Norton. Good luck
