2001 Hyundai Sonata HORN DOESNT STOP HONKING!

I just purchased a USED 2001 hyundai sonata. Everythings great with it, low mileage good condition, EXCEPT the horn. it would not work. Took it to a mechanic but he charged too much. apparently a fuse was missing, and when they put the fuse back, the horn would not stop honking. It just stayed on. Any ideas what could be causing this? and will it be pricey to fix? thanks in advance!

I doubt your horn button is stuck in the ON position. This is usually a bad horn relay. Find it and replace it. They're only about $8.

The horn button in steering wheel is stuck in the "on" position. You have to open up the wheel and gain access to the switch and either repair or replace it.

SOURCE: horn and cigarette lighter don't work

they are normally the same on chevy, chrysler and ford... I suspect it should be the same. you might also have spare fuses inside the top panel of the lid.... Kindly please rank

SOURCE: I have a 2001 Sonata and the airbag light came on

it would not be a fuse. there were certain reflash tsb's. check with your local hyundai/kia dealer.does the horn still work? if not its your "clock spring" which sits behind the steering wheel. but there are a few seat sensors aslo.

2006 sonata horn stopped honking

If you are new to working on cars, you need to take this to a shop. There is an airbag in your steering wheel and it can injure/ kill you. But I think the clock spring might be going bad inside the steering wheel.

How can i refill the air conditioning in my 2001 hyundai sonata

You can buy a recharge kit at your local parts store. The kit comes with a pressure gauge to let you know when the coolant level is good, over charged, or low. The kit cost about $25. With the kit hook up, it can't be hooked up wrong with the high and low pressure ends. You will be able to use this over and over, just buy new cans when you need to refill.

Hyundai Sonata 2001, was left with a door ajar

i would suggest you recharge the battery overnight, this should stop the hazzard lights activating as they do when battery level is too low.

My horn is not loud on my Sonata, and when I lock my doors with the keyless entry it does not beep. What could it be?

Some cars use a low tone horn and high tone horn and they face each other to produce the right sound frequency. One of those horns is probably bad.

2006 Sonata--the remote "fob" locks the doors but when I press it the remote lock again, the security system does not seem to arm (or the brief "honk" and headlight blink does not tell me the system is...

the system can have that setting changed for you using a Hy-Scan or GDS at your Hyundai dealer.

it is in the "BCM" under "User Options", and lets you enable/disable the "Horn Answer Back", rolling locks, and a few other settings.
