Remove the rear cover then tried to make a voltage checking since as you said the power adapter is good so what you need is a voltage checking going inside. you need a digital tester then make a voltage checking at the lcd control board if the dc supply goes through or not present. you can check also a bulged capacitor or burnt parts at the lcd control board.

No power, power indicator led won't lit.

Hello

That means that you have a problem with the power of your unit check the power adopter by a voltmeter if there is a 5 volts output if no voltage detected check the power source where your adopter is plugged. If there is an AC output on the outlet, check the output wire of the adopter. If the wire of the adopter have no problem on the connection check the socket where the output of the adopter is being inserted try to squeeze it while the adopter is being plugged to the AC. If the problem is still there look at the sticker of your unit if under warranty, if under warranty return it to the store where you buy it to avail the free service warranty. But if not under warranty you can fix it if you have a little knowledge in electronics. Because there is an internal damage on your unit either the power adopter of the unit or inside the unit.

If the adopter is only the problem you can open it by removing the one screw on the back of the adopter. See to it that the adopter is unplugged, then check the fuse of the adopter it is a small tube like component you can test it by a multi tester if there is a continuity it means the fuse is not busted but if no continuity it means you have to replace it with the same value. The second one is if there is a bulge capacitor. It means that if there is a capacitor that change there original shape, sometimes it blow sometime it just pop on the top of. Replace if there is a capacitor with look like that, Replace it with the value in farrad and in volts.

Hope this solution will help you

Plugged in Laptop won't turn on.

Hi there, your computer may have a power problem you should first plug the AC power adopter into a different wall outlet, and check the light which indicate if the computer receiving power if the problem still exist you should check the AC power adopter to see if it is working. You can do so by using it on another computer just like yours, and should also try another AC power adopter on your computer just like the present one,if your computer work this mean the problem was the adopter. If the problem still exist then it may be the power supply or the motherboard has a fault and need to be replace

Aspire 3000 the ac power is not connecting with notebook. Before the yellow light went out it came on then went off when i wriggled the connecting plug. Now their is no yellow light and the battery is flat...

anaturopath,
don't worry your data will not lost till your HDD is ok and you don't delete and/or format your HDD.
you should try:
  • Remove battery and plug ac adopter power on then try to boot. In some cases if battery is faulty you can on your lap direct from ac adopter. If its get on then change your battery it might be faulty.
Otherwise you should take a tour to your service centre.

Good Luck
Iqbal
