Displaying pictures from SD card

When viewing still pictures from an SD card (used in a Canon S530) the pictures in horizontal mode are fine. But when a vertical mode picture is displayed, with automatic rotation to the upright, the picture is disappointingly small, about a quarter the size of the horizontal ones. Is there a way to enlarge these?

You will have to make all the changes on the computer. There really is no settings on the TV for this. Believe me, i have tried.

Canon Powershot A2000IS pictures corrupted be color wash.

This could be a failing SD card causing corruption of the stored files (the SD card isn't an ebay special is it? there have been some very bad quality cards coming from China recently). Recommend first trying another brand of SD card.

After you've tried another card and it's still doing this, then the symptoms could also be impending CCD image sensor failure. Unfortunately you cannot fix this yourself. But as the A2000 is a relatively new camera, it's likely that you've owned it less than one year and it's still under warranty.

If in US or Canada, call 1-800-OK-CANON to arrange for warranty repair.

My Canon SD 870 Camera came with a free SD card. Everything seems fine with the card until I try to download the pictures to my computer. I used the camera to format the card after the first time I had...

How are you transferring pictures with the other cards? Are you using a USB cable and plugging the camera into the PC? If not, how are you doing it. Let me know the answer... I have some suggestions for you.

Horizontal lines on display but firewire and SD card work fine

Hello people who face similar problems...

First confirm whether it is a problem with the head assembly/ dirty heads.

Do the symptoms appear only on the camcorder's internal TFT side display or is it visible on an external monitor (connect using the AV cable supplied) and the EVF(electronic view finder) also.

If it is visible on the EVF, TFT Side display and the external monitor then it is definately a case of Bad video heads or the tape guide requires to be aligned or calibrated
