We just read the advice for our front loading Kenmore and we found a ton of stuff including a sock in the black acordian like area stated in the message. It was difficult getting it all back together. But mission accomplished. We just loaded for a test run and all is working fine except it immediately blew the cicuit now which we can reset rigth at the outlet. It wont stop doing this and we cant move forward. Any help would be appreciated.
Is it blowing the circuit immediately or after a while? try taking the front toe panel off if it runs with it off the its most likely the outlet when u take the toe panel off it opens the ground switch this will let u know if u have a bad ground

Hi
If the dryer is not drying the clothes then you would need to check for the following things-
1. Inspect the fuses and circuit breakers they may have burned out or tripped. Usually, dryer will still tumble but not create heat if a fuse or a circuit breaker is not working.
2. Check for the amp reading at 240 V, it should have reading of 24, 21 and 3 amp (approx.) for 2 lines and neutral respectively.
3. Heating element may have turned or the connection to the element might be loose. Sometimes a shorted circuit element will keep on blowing the fuse or circuit breaker.
4. Motor wiring shorting to ground.
Hope this helps...
Daniel

Thank you so much. It was setting off the outlet every couple of seconds and did this immmediately. My husband took off the back panel and made sure the wires were not loosened when fixing. This did the trick.
Also, as there were so much water that came out I would advise anyone who is doing this - of course to unplug everything - but also be prepared as the water can splash on the wiring ..so make sure you have a small bucket or a few towels to catch the water.
Thanks again.
