CT-36D12 One of the channels has no sound, one channels picture is fine but the weather plays for the sound. One channel is fine until the George Lopez show is on and then it comes out in spanish. Go figure, three different channels 3 different problems.

Instead of explaining the SAP/Stereo function to you, the easiest way to get the TV back to normal is while the set is on press the ACTION and POWER buttons at the same time and hold them until the CHK screen appears. Once that does release the buttons and then press the action button again to exit the CHK screen. Your TV is now back to the factory settings and will need to have the channels programmed again. By the way the SAP/STEREO button on the remote should be near the upper left hand corner of the remote itself.

it sounds that have problem in the chroma board ( video board ) a small board that hooked up in the neck of the picture tube. if the color is greenish the cause is dead in red video driver transistor or open resistance. hope this can help good luck.

The volume on my television has sound when playing dvd or vhs, but does not have sound when it is on a television channel.

that indicates that the amplifier is fine, the problem is that sound on a channel is combined sound and picture signals,
you can fine tune a channel,
if that is happening on all channels, a tv is suppose to alingned with a signal generator

No sound on my 8year old panasonic tv.

It worked fine yesterday. Sound on all channels. Sometimes the picture goes black on channel 6. We can get it back by going up one channel, then back to 6. it is due to cable signal ie weak. now there is no sound this is due to sound section 1 loose connect in sound section 2 speaker 3 problem in sound section some part must have failed.

I hit restore to factory settings, big mistake was trying to set up a HD converter box, while scanning for more channels I went to factory reset. Now I only get two channels instead of the seven I used to get and they don't come in all that good. I tried to use the TV remote to go to menu but it won't do it.
