does it go into power save mode with your actually doing something. Like for instance if your typing does it go into power save mode? If its going into power save mode when your not doing anything on it then its as simple as a setting either on the monitor itself or in the power settings within your computer accessible by the control panel and screensaver
Hello
Sounds like to power settings were set too low. Restart the PC, before it gets to Windows press F8. This will send the PC into SAFE mode. You'll get a menu of which SAFE mode to select, just select SAFE mode with networking. Once in SAFE mode, go to START, Control Panel, Power Options. From there select new settings. Since this is a desktop, I would make the settings very long. Good luck
This could be a computer problem more than a monitor problem. To check the monitor disconnect the video cable from the back of the monitor and see if you get any colored lines. If yes then the monitor is file. If even with the video cable disconnnect the monitor shows power save mode it a bad monitor. If you get the lines then you need to troubelshoot the computer. Try powering off the computer and then power it on and tap F8 as the computer restarts. If you get any display it should be a screen with the options safe mode etc. Select safe mode and start the computer up and once at the desktop restart, Let me know if this helps.
The monitor is not receiving signal from the computer. Is the power light on on the computer? If so - press and hold power button on computer until the power light goes off, then press again to restart. If the computer starts and you still have no picture it is most likely a video card or motherboard problem.
Your monitor goes to Power Saving Mode when the signal it is receiving is not correct.
In all probability this is not a problem of the monitor itself, rather you should check the connections and the computer the monitor it's connected to. For example you could try a different RGB cable and try it in a different computer.
-Turn off both computer and monitor
-unplug monitor from computer(still plugged into power supply)
-turn on computer and monitor(monitor is still unplugged)
-After computer is on for about 30 sec. plug monitor into computer
-turn off both monitor and computer(now connected together)
-turn on monitor then computer and should be good to go!!!
