Our Spacemaker XL 1800, all of a sudden, started making a whizzzzz kind of a noise (sort of something got loose inside) when we turn on the microwave. The noise mostly seems to come from the vent area above the top of the microwave door. I took the vent cover off and found that the charcoal filter was slid down. But even after I put the charcoal filter in place the noise doesn't seem to go off. What could be the problem? Is that something that I can fix by myself? Thanks.

I have a GE profile XL1800 spacemaker 1100 watt 1.8 Ft Cubed microwave. Last week it started making a deep vibrating noise and nothing was gettin hot except the microwave inside. Help
I have the same model, but i have an loud buzzing sound when i turn on the microwave. It does not matter what mode I am in, it buzzes.
Our micro started buzzing. I unplugged it, touched the buttons as suggested in another post, plugged it in and the buzz was gone.....until I opened the door. I don't know if the unit works / can't stand the buzzing.
