Hp laserjet 3500 transfer kit

Hit the check botton on the control panel for the printer. Scroll down to "Configure Device" and hit the check button. Scroll down to "Resets" and hit the check button. Scroll to "Reset Supplies" and hit the check button. Scroll to "New Transfer Kit" and hit the check button. Scroll to "yes" and hit the check button.

Hit the return button (next to check button) until back at ready again. Transfer belt count should be reset now.

To make sure, from the info menu, scroll down to "print suply stus page" and hit the check button. Transfer belt should read as 100% now.

DON'T WORRY IF IT TAKES MORE THAN ONCE FOR IT TO TAKE. WE'VE SEEN IT TAKE 2 OR 3 TIMES OF REPEATING THE PROCESS (for no good reason) BEFORE THE MACHINE RESETS THE COUNT.

Hp 3500 faint printing and colours wrong

Rich,
Well, first off, are you using OEM or compatible cartridges? Compatibles are OK, just as long as they weren't rebuilt just by refilling. Secondly, you may want to check in the "Print Quailty" menu; here you will find info on increasing and decreasing the print density. Do you observe light printing over the entire page or just ceratin areas? How about certain colors? More to follow...............
