I think that the problem has a lot to do with Ubisoft's server setup (or whoever actually runs the servers) than your system or anything that you control. It could also be that there are not a huge number of people playing the multiplayer.
What will sometimes help is if you exit out of the current lobby and start a new search. This will refresh your server request and put you on the top of the list for the server to fill the player void in your session.

I'll be glad to help you out with your concern of instead getting letters you'll get numbers on your G460 laptop when you're in yahoo game room lobby. This problem is caused by some of the pre loaded applications that goes with your G460. Don't worry because you can easily resolve this concern on your end by doing the steps below:

Applications: IDVault, Guarded ID and/or Oovoo
Note: Your system may contain any or all of the following applications listed above. All you have to do is to delete these applications.

1. Go to Control Panel, then click on Programs and Features.

2. Next, inside Programs and Features you have to look for all these three applications and one by one uninstall them.

3. The system will prompt you to restart your computer uninstallation. You have to restart your PC for the changes to take effect.

Once you are done with the procedure you can go ahead and try typing in inside yahoo game room lobby. This should fix the problem.

first check your fire wall settings on your comp, then make sure its just halo, if its just halo then it could be the disc.

as you may already know its probably not your router... check and make sure you have all the XBOX live updates on your 360... the link below should get you started.

The company that bought Sierra has discontinued supporting servers for 21 games, including Empire Earth Art of Conquest. There is a freeware solution, called EE Lobby, which will act as the game's internet server provided all participants download it and run it. Just google the name EE Lobby and you should be set. My friends and I did it a few days ago and it not only worked flawlessly, the game play was much smoother than when we played with the Sierra internet server.
