Hi, unfortunately this head unit has no line in function. The RCA jacks are preamp output to connect an amplifier. To read complete specs and/or obtain a user manual, go to http://www.crutchfield.com/p_133C1401/Panasonic-MXE-CQ-C1401U.html?tp=5684&tab=features_and_specs
check the fues on the back of the cq dp383u you will have to pull out the deck itself there a 15amp fuse beside the wireharness it might have blowen if not the unit is more than likely fried but check with a audio shop for testing
You may have one of this two problems:
One of the speaker wires is grounded to the chassis.
Or your car may have a factory amplifier between the radio and the speakers.
My suggestion is to rewire the speakers lines
take your yellow wire and hookit up to the battery same as the red your just loseing the memory when you turn your key off that tell me you got the yellow wire hooked up to the key insted of power check you manual
