You can update your phone's software or reinstall it by following the steps below.

2.Install it on your computer along with the PC Suite provided with your phone.
3.Connect your phone via USB Cable to the computer in the PC Suite mode.

hey me too hv 6288 and just now i updated wid 6.43 furmware...u just take ur usb cable(DKU-2 or CA53)and update ur latest nokia pc suite in dat there is a option of updating software try from pc suite ur problem will get solved but dont try to update ur phone through nokia website...u will not get success from their.

Install PC suite in your PC, connect your phone with pc through data cable
open PC suite, you fill see nokia software updater icon in it.
it will download nokia software updater to your pc,
after the installation you can update your software with Nokia Software Updater
