The microsoft doesn't identify the osprey 230

I reinstalled the driver for a osprey card on the xp system. I can see everything fine in the device manager. But the micosoft encoder just doesn't identify the video capture. But, it can recoganize the audio capture. And the Avstream does the same thing. I reinstalled the driver several time, but doesn't help.

Try an older osprey driver. it might work. I had a similar problem. we had an older version downloader earlier. it worked. sometimes after the online update of windows causes similar problems. regards, [email protected]

Since the audio works but not the video, it sounds as though the problem might be in the codec, not the driver. check card provider to see if there is an updated codec pac or new service pac. try: http://www.viewcast.com/driverdownload.asp

Hi,i have the problem with Audio device on my Osprey 210, video works grate..but audio don't work.... help'

Here's an easy way to install or update your sound card driver:

Use this driver scanning tool, which scans your computer for the needed drivers. It has an option to automatically retrieve them for you.

You can download this free tool from here or directly from this link

After you have downloaded the above file, double-click on it and follow the simple steps to install it. Then, when it asks if you want to run it, just answer yes. This is easier than manually searching, downloading and installing the drivers.

Hope that helps,

Raspal

I want to fix a video problem XP media center 2005. Can I use the Repair ability (not recovery) from the reinstallation disk for just fixing media center and not affecting XP?

nah it doesnt work like that sadly.

most video problems are caused by the graphics adaptor driver.

click start
right click computer
click properties
click hardware tab
then device manager

everything in yellow means its a driver problem

it could also be you have the wrong driver installed or the settings are messed up. YOu have to reinstall the driver. use the cd that came with your graphics card or the one that came with your mainboard if you dont have a graphics card.

If you lost your cd the drivers can be downloaded from the manufactures web site.

Cannot identify sound card or driver for my system win xp

Go to your Audio and Sounds Device in the Control panel and check that it has one. On Audio, Default Device it should have something their identifying your sound device. If not, restart your system and check again. Quite often a conflict of usage files causes this to go off line and a re-boot will fix it, if nothing, then you have to go to Windows Updates and find a sound card compatible to your system.
