I purchased this from Best Buy and had them install it. For some reason, I ran into this problem earlier today:
I have it hooked up to my TV, my DVD player and Playstation/Wii consoles. I can get sound via the DVD player and Tuner, but it will not give me sound from the consoles or the tv itself. It worked fine last night, but today, nothing.
Any ideas would be a major help. I emailed Yamaha, and I am still waiting for a reply, but I hope this will get it working faster.
Thank you!
Is the dvd built into the unit? Im not sure.
If your comfortable with the wiring behind the unit I can try and help you out.
Im guessing your just using plain cable that your running to your tv. If so you should have a audio output in the back of your tv (the red and white one) there should be a RCA cable into this output (best buy would have installed it already). follow this cable down to the back of the Reciever and it should be plugged into the input for TV.
Your Consols are a little more difficult. They can run them through your tv or bypass it. Ill tell you how to put them through your tv so that the sound from them will only come when the tv is on (not sure when else you would need it). The back of you consols you will have the 3 RCA's (red, white, Yellow) plug them into the back of your tv in the input ports... Playstation to 1, Wii to 2. There should be all the jacks needed to do this (if you have a newer tv). Now when you turn on your tv and make sure the reciever is turned to TV your should get your sound. Try the gaming consols, they should both work (you will need to switch the Tv to video input, usually by the source button).
If you still get no sound but pictures try turning your volume up on the tv, if you have volume there check your settings on the tv for the volume output...some brands allow you to mute this.
Hope this helps

I have a 2003 Chevy Avalanche 1500 Z71 4X4. What you describe happened to me (6) times last week. #1, I replaced the ignition switch, $32.00. The issue happened again last night and recorded the code P1514 (Throttle Body performance condition). #2, I cleaned the MAF (mass airflow sensor) and the throttle body. These parts require specific cleaners, which can be purchased at any parts store. Truck runs like new. Best regards, Mike Pyne
Sorry, the color wheel is only available in the Light Engine Assembly. You can not purchase it as a single part. You will have to purchase the engine and replace it to repair your TV. PN: 23405476 it runs about $450 with a $200 core. You may find it cheaper... I don't think it is readily available... Best of luck to you, I hope this was helpful.
You are having problems with component failure. This could be a simple problem of over expanded solder connections that have expanded beyond the contact points on the board. This is reffered to as cold or broken solder joints. The other problem amy be actual component failure, such as bad capacitors or semi-conductor components. The unit need to serviced. You can call the Best Buy customer support telephone line at 1888-237-8289 and give them the model number of your television and the problem you are having. They should be able to give you a evalution and esimate of the repair costs. I hope this information helps you with your problem.
Does anyone know where can I buy a screen for a 27" LCD Insignia TV. Model is NS-27LCD? My screen creaked. I checked out e-bay and have not found a broken TV with a good screen. Does anyone know where I can buy a screen at. Thank you all for you time. JC
Yes You need a cable that runs from your cable box to the Home Theater System. If it is analog cable then you can use basic Audio Rca Cables from Best Buy. If You have a High Def box I would recommend using a Audio Fiber Optic cable from the box to the surround sound.
