I have tried to follow the owner's manual in tuning in my digital Denver-8 stations on the W1 satellite from NPS but I can't resolve the continuous tiling and breaking up of the picture and sound. Other channels like CNN work fine. If this problem can't be solved through this forum, can you recommend a service provider in the Las Vegas, NV area. The company that installed the big dish will no longer service big dishes? Thank you.
I am having the same issue. The receiver, however, is a 920 model. The satellite repairman states that the receiver is the problem and that I need to purchase a new 922 model.

Although it's about $50, this is the best FM transmitter I've found so far. I use it primarily with my MP3Player, but the concept is the same for your satellite radio. It should have a 1/8" audio plug.
Simply plug this little adapter in your cigarette lighter, plug the 1/8" cable between your Satellite radio and the adapter, and tune your radio to the station on the adapter (you can choose another station if there is already something playing on its default station).
This works for me. I tried other brands and they all eaither had poor reception or died within a month or so. This one has been working for me for well over a year now GOgroove FlexSMART X2 Wireless In Car Bluetooth FM Transmitter with...

The most common problem for no FM is the failure of component F1 IF transformer. One of the windings on the transformer opens, so you have either no input, or a very low level input to the FM mixer. You need to obtain a copy of the Satellit 700 service manual, and then find F1 in the schematics. You can check the windings with a simple ohm meter to verify if one of the windings is open or not.
If F1 is defective, and I have seen many 700's with this fault, you need to replace it with an adjustable 10.7 MHz IF Transformer in a 7mm can configuration.
I found a replacement 7 mm 10.7 MHz IF Transformer at Talon Electronics. Their part number for it is IND2134, and it costs a whopping $0.80. Here is a link:
