The code in the book for my tv it is not it - One For All URC4220 Remote Control

The book would usually contain a helpline number - for help and advice including some codes that aren't in the book.

The book should also contain instructions to self tune the remote - the tv is switched on and the remote search mode engaged until the tv switches off.

Matter of interest, a universal remote usually doesn't provide access to the menus and if you need to access menus you will need either an original remote or a compatible remote - I bought mine from Amazon or ebay for very little more than a good universal.

Each remote has its own codes so you need the code book which is often part of the instruction book for that remote. The book will also tell you how to set the remote for accepting codes. The codes are generally a series of numbers and each tv manufacturer may have multiple codes listed to try. If you do not have the codes and cannot find on the sharp websight or any other online source then I would suggest calling sharp and telling them the remote you have and Make and model of your TV and they should be able to give you the code list for the TV. If your remote is older than it may not have the codes for your TV.

I have a code book. It says Mitsubishi TV's are 024,003,012 or 066.

the code book doesn't have a code for Dish satelite - does anyone kn ow if the JMK universal will work with Dish or an Insignia TV?
