Open a web browser and connect to your router by typing in its URL. The basic URL set for many routers is either http://192.168.1.1/ or http://192.168.0.1/. The URL for your router should be its IP address. If you are unsure what yours is, do the following: click "Start," then "Run." Type "Command" and then press "OK." In the DOS pop-up, type "ipconfig," and then press "Enter." This will give you a list of information about your internet connection; the IP address listed under "Default Gateway" should be the IP address for your router.

  • Enter your router user name and password to log into your router. Entering the router's IP address into a browser will bring up a pop-up requesting this information.
  • Search through the administrative tools and menus that your router offers, for a list or table of DHCP clients or of attached, connected, or active devices or computers. Different routers have different administrative options, so menu labeling will vary, but there should be a place to find a list of devices and IP addresses currently using the network. For example, users of the popular Linksys WRT54GL router can click "Status," then on the "Local Network" sub menu, and finally click on "DHCP Clients table" to bring up a list of attached devices.

Web Site Blocked by NETGEAR Firewall

The most common problem for your case is that the settings at the Netgear router block the web site you are trying to visit. Go at the router's settings page, locate the firewall settings and temporary disable the firewall. Check the results. In case this solve your problem, either disable the firewall or modify the existing rule that block the url that you visit. Alternative you can check the block site list at the router settings page (sometimes called parental control) and remove the url from this list.

In case of a problem or clarification or further details needed, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer. Also clarify me the model of your Netgear router and the site that you have the problem.

My facebook is blocked and idk how to unblock it

where you at? if your at a public place, school or office, then its very possible that the network administrators of those places wish for you not to be able to access it. Only they can change the settings on the firewalls ect to let you gain excess to that page.

if your at home, then check your firewall, or router, or other network settings.

    Unblock netgear restricted sites

There are a couple of ways that you can fix this problem. My first question is does your brother know what you are about to do? The next question is Is he OK with you doing this. Here is how to reset the router log into it and set things up the way that you want. If the router is this type then follow these instructions.

Press and hold the reset button on the back of the router for about 10-15 seconds. What this does is it reset the router to default. After that LOG IN TO the router using 192.168.0.0. This is a default ip address. After you have gotten to the log in screen it will ask for a username and password. This information should be located on the bottom of the router. It should be something like USERNAME: administrator and PASSWORD: password.
Again these are common default password ans usernames for a lot of devices out there. Once you are logged in to the router inside there you are able to edit change and remove any and all bocks that your brother has enabled.

Again I stress that your brother knows what you are doing since he is the one paying for the internet.

Please mark this solution as a FIXYA ifthis solves your problem.

Netgear wireless router WGT 624v4 not accessing some websites

if the router was the problem, then no site would be accessible from either of the problem pc's.

unless the webkinz site is being blocked because it contains active scripts. check the configuration page for the router (usually 192.168.1.1) and switch off any active firewall / security applications running on the router.
