I have no sound when I play DVDs, or CDs. I can click over to FM and it is fine, when I go back to DVD, no sound. The video is fine, and with a CD, it says its playing. I have read the effin manual 1000 times. What gives?
It is what Turbo911 stated. If you switch the solid blue wire (powere antenna) with the blue&white wire (power control) this will solve the issue. The blue wire is made to power an antenna in which is only used when on FM source. When this is connected to amps, it will shut off your amp as soon as you leave FM radio
Haha retards depends upon the car odds are the simplist way to explain it is that you have a factory amplifier this means that the amp is turned on in the car when power is sent down the power antenna lead to your car. most likely you have something european bmw, vw etc. but any ways the simplist way to fix it is to attach your amp remote turn on lead to your factory power antenna wire. this doesnt mean you wired it wrong like the guys who apparently know everything.... who i would let touch my car with a ten foot pole. now if you also have amps in the car you will need to still use the amp remote turn on wire to power them. the power antenna lead will not work. the problem is that you dont want to hook too many things into this wire because like all the others on the harness it more than likely has a 7-10 amp load rating on it. so try that and it should work for you

Troubleshooting simply means, investigating a problem to find out the cause and to fix the problem. We can also say; the process of finding and fixing a problem is called troubleshooting.
Example like when your computer has sound problem, we have to find out what is the cause, suppose if it's drivers related problem, after installing or updating the sound drivers will fix the problem so here, installing and updating the sound driver is the Fix.
If you cd/dvd player isn't playing your Cds/Dvds, you have to check the media (cd and dvds), after that, you'll also clean the cd or dvds. And if your cd/dvd problem is caused by the Lens not the others like cds or motor, etc.., then replacing the lens will fix the problem and there'll be no more problem with your cd/dvd player. I'll read and play all cds/dvds after the lens is replaced.
your DVD ROM lens has became weak. and it cannot be repaired. But
if you manage to open the DVD ROM clean the dust in it & it will
start working again but be careful remember that no power should be
attached to ROM. or you can buy a lens cleaner from market and try that. pls rate my solution thankyou
I have a SONY home theater system, HT-C800DP, there is a crackling sound when playing DVDs - it is almost as if the unit overheats. Is there any solution to this? Sometimes I cannot even finish a DVD as the noise gets very loud.
