Ice machine the ice machine makes so much ice that every time I open the drawer to get some it falls all over the floor. any help ideas

Yep, I have the same problem. I actually called within the warranty period about this problem, and the solution was to give me a bigger ice bucket - what a joke!!! The ice maker does stop making, but the ice is piled too high, so that when you slide the drawer out, the top layer of ice is knocked into the back of the freezer drawer.

The other thing you can do is use the on off switch. Your ice only lasts so long before it starts to absorb all the odours from other food in the freezer and or gets freezer burn. Why not just turn it off when it gets full and then empty out the bucket once a month and make fresh ice.

My sources tell me they are working on a new ice bucket that will solve the problem once and for all. Might be out in the fall.

There is an update for this problem. The icemaker sensor arm is too short and an updated version is now available. You will only need the sensor arm. The part # is MFC39559901. The arm replaces the old arm and works really well.

Hi, freezer makes too much ice. We have to continually empty the drawer when it is full or no ice will come out. And when we do, ice falls to the floor.

GE has a new bail arm that will correct this issue, check with your local part house, this part is under 20 buck and will correct this issue for you.

Ice falls out of drawer when open up

if its a no frost refigerator sounds like you might have to take all the drwars out unscrew or detach the back plate and defrost the fridge manually and then unblock the drain hole which goes to the back of the fridge into a plastick container ontop of the compressor which in turn will evaporate from the heat of the compressor . Hope this does the trick

The drawers inside the freezer are fozen and covered in frost, making it difficult to open the doors and causing ice to fall onto the floor when opening the door?

just do a full defrost(DO NOT USE SCRAPERS/STEAM)and dry after.check door seals sit flush to cabinet.and restart.

Ice falls to bottom of frig when drawer is opened

If when your ice bin is pulled out it drags ice cubes from top of bin as I understand I would think that the sensor that tells the ice maker is not responding correctly. As I remember your model a PSS26MSRSS Profile/Artica has electronic Ice Makers that I hate and I think most people will agree that anything on a refrigerator electronic is a big mistake. All refrigerators have their problems but the electronic controlled models have so many complaints! Now I also noticed you did not confirm your model number so I need to ask is your model the PSS26MSRSS Profile? Ice is jamming on external dispenser. open the door and ice falls all over floor. what could it be?

The adjusta cube ice maker has an on/off switch. To stop the ice from overfilling and being knocked off when you open the freezer door turn the ice maker off and then back on as needed.
